Imo if fffffrench played in a leech or holgerson type system, the dude might be an all American.

Ffrench will be an all-pro in the rare non-white slow guy slot receiver category in the NFL, imo.

i would not call Ffffrench slow. Also, that catch and turn all in one motion to get up field on the sideline was a thing of beauty

Didn't he start last year in the secondary? If I remember right, he switched over to offense a few games in.. If my memory is correct that means this kid has been a WR at this level for roughly 14 months. Not bad

The white guys are slow, not Ffrench.

That game was a ton of fun. I'll be down at WF for the game this weekend. Hopefully we can clinch it there. I want to win this division, not back into it by losing the last 2 and winning it because UVA lost a game.

And F whoever that Josh Taylor is. The Big 10, ACC and Pac 12 all have one side of the division that is weaker than the other. And there is literally no difference between then (hell, there is really no different between teams 15-55 IMO).

Plus Duke crushed Big 10 west champ Northwestern. F him.

To KtK point as well, big weekend for the volleyball team. If they beat FSU on Friday they pretty much win the ACC outright. Sucks, FSU came back from 2 to 0 yesterday against ND. If they lost, then Pitt would be sitting very pretty.

Got FSU, Miami and GT to finish out the season.

He was getting run on both sides of the ball as a true freshman iirc, but was at WR all year last year. Crazy to think he’s a senior next year.

Ffrench has solidly proven himself to be the best WR on this roster and an explosive downfield weapon.

Would be nice if he had a couple more years as it feels like it's been a while since Pitt had a truly reliable WR threat. Weah was fine, but they haven't had an impact guy since Boyd.

Since I always like to look at roster projection and development, next year they're looking at:

Seniors:
Ffrench, 5'11", 190 lbs.
Mathews, 6'4", 215 lbs.
Tipton, 6'0", 190 lbs.

Junior:
Mack, 6'2", 195 lbs.

Sophomore:
Smith, 6'1", 215 lbs.
Street, 6'1", 185 lbs.
Shocky, 6'0", 180 lbs.
Butler-Jenkins, 6'0", 210 lbs.
Carter, 5'9", 170 lbs. - who knows if he still ends up redshirting or sticks at WR

Freshman:
O'Neil, 6'1", 185 lbs.

Incoming:
Wayne, 6'3", 195 lbs.

I like Mathews, the kid blocks his ass off, but for one reason or another he's never really progressed as a WR. I tell him to spend the offseason eating and lifting and be prepared to come in next season as a TE. Ffrench is a stud, Tipton doesn't seem to be a thing anymore, Mack has been good but in camp they made him out to be Larry Fitz 2.0, and Shocky has slown down as the season has worn on. Really haven't seen much of anyone else. Big thing that sticks out to be with that list is that there's a whole lot of guys that are roughly the same size, all of whom would preferably be in the slot, other than Mack.

How they've set the depth chart up at WR has been very weird this season (Mathews and Shocky at the same position, Ffrench and Mack at the same position), but I'm guessing next season sees Ffrench and Mack as the outside guys, Shocky in the slot, and then one of those guys who is just a little bit bigger (Smith, Street, DBJ) needs to grow into a role as the big, downfield threat. I know nothing of this Wayne kid who is coming in, but it would be nice to get some more 6'3" receivers into the program.

The more time passes, the more I realize how much more I should have appreciated Devin Street

You might have the opportunity to appreciate Darian Street!

But ya, Street was a stud, especially for a guy who came in as a 2 star nothing recruit. Wasn't great at any one thing, but was always reliable and a solid complement to guys like Baldwin, Boyd, and Shanahan, who was probably another underappreciate guy, especially given the collection of munchkins we have now.

Wonder if Street 2.0 will see the field. Not supposed to be much but neither was his brother. I think I was just spoiled with Grim, Fitz, Bryant, Baldwin, Boyd, etc.. and Street was breaking all their records and I was a little salty about it because it seemed like a volume thing. But that consistency and reliability would be nice right about now.
