Did not realize that today was the early signing day.
Leslie Smith - LB
Jared Wayne - WR - Also Canadian
Brandon George - LB
Jason Collier - TE, who is already OT size
Will Gipson - WR
Davis Beville - QB, future Heisman winner
Bryce Nelms - DL
Brandon Hill - DB
Matt Goncalves - OL
Deandre Jules - DL
Kyi Wright - ATH
Daniel Carter - RB
Nate Temple - DL
Vincent Davis - RB
AJ Woods - DB
Calijah Kancey - DL
16 signings so far; commitment list was at 19. Nick Malone - OL, Bam Brima - DE, and Brandon Mack - DE appear to be the holdouts so far. Malone and Mack have both said they won't sign today. Mack has been gettingh some late heat from some SEC schools, so that could be an issue.

Honestly that's barely over 200 yards a game. We can do this.

Oooo, you are probably factoring in the ACCCG and the playoff games, fair play

Bam Brima signed. Think the only one left would be Liam Dick who is committing this afternoon. PittFB tweeted and deleted a video that had his name on the wall of commits so it appears he is probably in.

Saw this from Jim Hammett on PL re Pitt commit Brandon Hill from Florida:
So Brandon Hill’s team had:
Rian Davis 4-star DE/LB going to UGA
Tyler Davis 4-star DT going to Clemson
Brandon Hill 3-star S going to Pitt
Renardo Green 3-star CB going to Florida State.
Norell Pollard 3-star DE going to Virginia Tech
Five power-5 seniors on one defense for one public high school team? That's, um, absurd.

Some stuff from the beat writers this morning...
1. From Brian Batko and Jerry DiPaola, QB Ricky Town has left the team and will forgo his final year of eligibility. Narduzzi said this morning that Town is nearly set to graduate, but he has returned home to California to help his family. Apparently his family was impacted by the wildfires there. Hoping for the best for him and his family, because that whole situation was pretty terrifying.
2. Jeff George Jr is the backup and Nick Patti is the 3rd string QB.
3. Town's departure frees up a scholarship, and Alan Saunders speculated immediately that George Jr. would probably get it.
4. From Batko's Twitter account: Narduzzi said Paris Ford is now getting reps at safety and hinted at a position change. Damar Hamlin was apparently asked about it and said, "I feel like Paris can be a factor, and could've been a factor. He's a safety. That's what he is...he's ready to go when his number is called."
That's some very good news, especially for 2019. Give me Ford and Hamlin at safety, Pinnock at one corner, Dane Jackson at the other corner if he comes back, Damarii Mathis, Therran Coleman or Marquise Williams at the other corner if he doesn't, and fill in the nickel and dime backs accordingly. That could be a terrific defensive backfield next year.
5. In the post-Signing Day press conference yesterday, Narduzzi mentioned yesterday that TE recruit Jason Collier is already at 6'7", 292 lbs. Given Borbley's comments on how he prefers to recruit offensive lineman - namely, recruit kids whose frames all fit tackle, and move the ones inside that can't play tackle - I think it's safe to say Collier is coming here to play offensive tackle.

Moving Ford to CB was moronic from day one, but even now I think he has some competition at that position with Campbell.

It appears per a quote from Nard Dawg that there was a little mad scientist/karate kid training of Ford with moving him to CB to learn what CBs are responsible for and go back to safety

perhaps ford will teach nard dog a mad scientist lesson and transfer to somewhere that lets him play

well if he isn't gonna learn via playbook and film study I suppose it's not the worst idea

DE Brandon Mack officially de-commits via Twitter. He was part of the Fathers Day Weekend commitment blitz but this isn't entirely surprising.
