He was probably bottom of my list, primarily because I think he'll be of zero help in recruiting, but I think he'll be a better OC and QB coach than that **** Watson.
That's pretty much how I see it. The Program Honor Defenders on PL are selling the "OCs don't even recruit" nonsense. He certainly has had more success with less, whereas Watson constantly was surrounded by high-end talent at L'ville/Texas etc and never did better than average.

I think he could handle some half-assed recruiting by flashing his Super Bowl ring and mentioning that he was Rothlisberger's QB coach. Hopefully none of the recruits look up when he was Cleveland's QB coach.

On the bright side, the absolute biggest morons on planet Earth that also post at PL hate this hire, so I now feel better about it. I'll give it a 6.5 out of 10.

He should be a good OC. Probably not a great recruiter, but hey if he can make the offense work, kids will want to play in it.

I'm ok with this hire. Nothing great, but I think he can definitely steer the offense in the right direction.

Whipple is a good name for a Twitter hashtag when the offense is bad.

- Need to learn to play more responsibly when they have the lead

- Ellison has no reason to be so confident in his shot.

Pantherlair is such a gift

"I will make a bold claim. Right now Trey and X are already as good as any backcourt we have ever had except maybe Sean Miller and Jason Matthews. BK and Page were very good but Julius had an up and down career."

That was fun last night. Great win. Still a long way to go, and there are still going to be some downs with these ups, but it feels nice to have a competitive team again.

There are some ridiculous people there, both on the positive and negative side. The lunatic fringe. After the UNC loss you had some turd saying Capel was a horrible hire and was average at best and he knew that from day 1.

Now after this win you got people saying **** like the above.

When it comes to Pitt's OC search, @JoeStarkey1 writes that Matt Canada wanted the job. Do you agree that Pat Narduzzi should've taken him back?

**** Canada. One successful year here and he would have been bolting for a higher profile job somewhere else, again.
