Narduzzi’s success as a DC had to be the result of someone else.

What was wrong with the D today? I didn't watch but 0 points at the half and 19 points to GT's option isn't the worst they've done by any means

Weaver played great in 1st half but was ass in the 2nd. Typical nard dog team got complacent and entitled in the second half and just expected it to be a walk in the park

Giving up a 99 yard drive against an option team is pathetic regardless of what came before it.

If the GT QB was DeNucci level, pitt loses that game. Their qb was fine in the option but truly awful passing

Speaking of WRs, watching that game on Saturday, god damn do our WRs suck. Only one that can get any kind of separation is RAL. Mathews has been seeing playing time for 3 **** seasons but can't run a route well enough to separate himself from a DB to save his life. Who the **** is coaching these guys?

Probably because he came from Indiana instead of spending years under the tutelage of whoever pretends to coach WR for Pitt.

The Pirates and the Panthers seem to have the exact same problem. Neither team can train and develop talent at all.

Mack looks like a worthwhile P5 contributor.

I had an pitt-related epiphany re: receivers after reading a long stoosh post last week. there are 33 qbs in the nation right now completing 66% or more of their passes. That means, more or less, that someone is open about 66% of the time. you cant sit here and tell me that Colorado (who completes 74% of its passes) has this vastly superior talent to pitt. in this day and age, scheme is paramount to talent when it comes to throwing the ball. Aint to reason to not have guys open.

Via TV it's hard to judge whether it's scheme related or just the preference of KSP, but most passes seem to be going numbers to sideline, completely ignoring the middle of the field, which makes it very difficult for guys to get open.

Also, do we have any TEs? I'm pretty sure Watson is anti-TE at this point.

imo Kenneth shane pickett likes to roll out and throw on the run, and his offensive coordinator is accommodating this style.

OR, KSP needs to roll out to stay alive because the interior offensive line is a walk-on center, a 4 year back up, and a dude that bounced between offensive line and defensive line for 4 years because he wasn't good enough to stick on either side.

Aside from the second half of UPS, Morrissey and Dintino have been pretty good. Herndon is a disaster. I read on PSN that GT's nose tackle put up a big fat zero head up over Morrissey this week -- 0 tackles, 0 assists, 0 sacks, and 0 TFL.

That's a damn good stat line from Morrissey. It's tough to well the problem in the center of the line is, but it would make sense that Herndon is the weakest link.

He was among the list of participants. I remember him fair catching a punt but no idea if he saw defensive snaps. Mychale Salahuddin was also a participant for the first time. No idea when or where he got in. If you're going to use a freshman running back, use some of those four games for carries to see if ya got something more than Hall to backup QO.

apparently ulf is a bad pitt fans and either a. didn't go to the game or b. wasn't paying attention

ford played quite a bit in the 2nd half and didn't do too much. he did get called on a defensive hold with like 2 minutes left in the game. it was a horsesht call.
