Pitt wrestling up to #14 in the nation.
That's good but there's such a gap between the top 4 or 5 and anyone else. And the gap is just as big between #1 and #2 this year unfortunately

Absolutely. Same could be said for football this year too. Still nice to be in the top 15 in the nation.

They have a good coach, they might crack that top 5 group in a few years

Too much dribbling against this zone. Refs also really letting them play which doesn't really favor Pitt

New WR coach is Chris Beatty and that's a good one. Beatty had been at Maryland since 2016 and was mostly recently the WR coach, co-OC and assistant head coach for the Terps.

We may best know him from his work in 2008-10, when he was RB/Slot WR coach at WVU. There he helped recruit & develop Noel Devine, Jock Sanders, Tavon Austin, and Steadman Bailey.

He's got a track record as a very solid recruiter. He helped coach and develop DJ Moore at Maryland. He was also James from State College's WR coach and recruiting coordinator at Vandy in 2011, where he coached current NFL wideout Jordan Matthews.

Awesome, heard his name rumored and was really pulling for him over Hankerson. Great recruiter

I like that hire.

You have the usual whiners on PL saying "we needed to hire a younger guy that can recruit".

Most of the outside world likes both the OC and this hire.

ESPN has the dookies as a -9.5 favorite tonight at the Pete. Is that being a little too generous? I think Pitt keeps it under 20, but not within 10.

Consensus is up to 13.5 at the moment. Both are bad because Pitt will win straight up

For clarification, I interpreted "do this tonight" as lose by thirty. To avoid any confusion
