I like Pitt's chances. Stanford's defense was susceptible to the run so I think Hall and Ollison can have big games even if Stanford tries to go with eight/nine in the box on a consistent basis. On the other side of the ball, Stanford didn't really run the ball particularly well when they had Bryce Love in the lineup, so I think Pitt should be OK stopping the run.

Costello is a good QB and Arcega-Whiteside is a legit threat at wideout (only USC, ND, and Washington really kept him in check). I think Pitt's in good shape with Pinnock or Dane Jackson covering him. What worries me more about their passing game is their tight ends, because both are big receiving threats and that coverage is going to likely fall to Hamlin/Briggs and a linebacker. YIKES. Those TEs could be primed for career days.

I agree with KTK in my hopes that Pickett doesn't stink. Hopefully the offensive line can give him some time and he can find some receivers.
