This was fun, because its good to know Chaney is still doing this sht, and yet at the same time, I dearly miss him compared to the Shawn Watson experience:
12. And though Georgia called a good enough game, my god, Georgia fans: The Jim Chaney Lifestyle is WILD. The refusal to use a running back properly in a goal line or short yardage situation borders on something like a cognitive disorder. Like, Jim Chaney might be missing the part of the brain that redzones effectively, but fortunately for y’all he seems to recognize that by calling passing TDs at range. The goal line stand by Florida was impressive as hell, but having Jim Chaney calling plays in that particular situation can be like having a twelfth defender on the field.

13. A FLY SWEEP ON THIRD AND NOTHING MY GOD MAN DO YOU REALLY CARE NOTHING FOR THE LIVES OF THOSE AROUND YOU JIM. Apologies for the yelling, but damn, that is going to bite Georgia in the ass so hard in a big game.

After hitting the moneyline last week for Pitt, I am back with some more HARD HITTING analysis. Virginia, while sitting at 25th, has not looked especially impressive in any of their victories. Their biggest margin of victory was against the lowly Richmond Spiders...they lost to Indiana by four at home and NC State by two touchdowns on the road.

Statistically, they don't stand out in any way either. I do not expect this to be a shootout, and while Pitt could certainly win this game, I think the home advantage leads Virginia to a victory. Expect Pitt to cover, with a final score of 27-24 Virginia.

The Pitt men’s basketball team faced off against Dayton in a secret scrimmage last Saturday at Denison University, according to Stadium basketball insider Jeff Goodman. Although most stats and the score have not been made public, other details have emerged about the contest that could provide some insight into Pitt head coach Jeff Capel’s strategy for the upcoming season.

The matchup consisted of two standard 20-minute halves and a 10-minute period in which only zone defenses were utilized. Pitt started Trey McGowens and Xavier Johnson in the backcourt, Malik Ellison and Jared Wilson-Frame as forwards, and Terrell Brown at center. McGowens and Johnson came up with 26 and 19 points, respectively, leading Pitt to a nine-point win.

Craig Meyer of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, who provided details regarding the scrimmage in a series of posts on Twitter, also noted that Capel intends to deploy McGowens and Johnson as a duo in the backcourt, although Capel had nothing else “set in stone” in terms of possible lineups.

While the scrimmage went well for Pitt, it should also be noted that Dayton head coach Anthony Grant revealed to David Jablonski of the Dayton Daily News that only eight Flyers players were available for the scrimmage. Given that detail and the nature of scrimmages, there’s little reason to place any significant amount of stock in the result.

I made the mistake of actually giving this a chance. Take advice from me, friends: Don't give this a chance.
