Took exactly one reply for a Star Wars reference to make it into the thread. One.

The reboot movies suck. Discovery sucks. Everything after DS9 sucks. The Orville is a better Star Trek show than anything actually called Star Trek since the end of DS9.

I almost agree completely, but I did enjoy Beyond. Haven't seen Discovery yet, so I can't weigh in on that. The Orville is indeed awesome.

I haven’t seen Discovery, and probably never will. I like the new Star Trek movies more than the Star Wars ones.

I was a regular TNG viewer, and watched DS9 sporadically. But the rest of the franchise is fairly opaque to me.

I want to, but I refuse to pay CBS $6.99 for one show.

DS9 was G.O.A.T., and Voyager was hit or miss. When Voyager was at its best, it was some of the best Trek ever...but the lows were really low. Enterprise was pretty weak, but season 4 was excellent and has some of my favorite episodes. I think they were building up to the Earth-Romulan war and it would have been fantastic, had the show not been cancelled. It was really gaining a ton of steam.

For you warz folks:

Modding those Star Trek games was tremendously fun; especially since we used the ambiguity of that universe to make up twists in the middle of the games. :pop:

I’m sorry Doc went off the deep end here and glad I didn’t witness it.

Not sure, but since people that cry about spoilers are sad little punnies, I just wanted to head off their snowflake crying right from go.

I watched the free pilot of Discovery and it did NOTHING to make me want to sign up for their service to see episode 2.

While TOS seems quite dated now, it really was the bomb in the early - mid 70's.

TNG was great, DS9 was good. I only watched a few Voyager episodes and don't really remember it.

Haven't seen Beyond or Discovery, otherwise I'd also agree.

First I've heard of The Orville. I'll have to check it out.

The best thing about watching the old stuff is the datedness. Hippies on TOS... great stuff. While the social commentary (and acting) of TOS is sometimes a little strained, it is actually watchable. A lot of the first couple season of TNG are actually difficult to rewatch.

DS9 was the best for me. Martok, Garak, and Worf (better done than on TNG) were great characters. Jeffrey Combs nailed it every time he was on screen.

Voyager was insanely hit or miss.

Enterprise tried, but just seemed to fall short most of the time.
