Going into 2013 Brentz was the #6 prospect in the Sox org, and accidentally shot himself in the leg.

Yankees picked their desired utility IF and his last name isn’t Harrison.

TRADE: Pirates acquire OF Corey Dickerson from the Rays in exchange for pitcher Daniel Hudson, minor league infielder Tristan Gray and cash considerations.

I hope rays fans enjoy relievers with crappy fastball that routinely get smashed for extra base hits. ooponents ops against his fastball was 988 last season. 988!

I wish the Pirates put this much effort into getting legit outfield options when Marte was suspended for half the **** season last year.

Add in a "+/- 1 win" qualifier to account for the big time moves coming and you'll be all set

Let's not get crazy here. Dickerson is making $5.95MM, Hudson is making $5.5MM, and the Pirates are sending $1MM to the Rays in the deal. This trade essentially added $1.45MM to the payroll. Still not in bank breaking mode.

Lol I'm not adjusting any record guess. They're going to dump Harrison and maybe Freese.

Yes and no. So Lance Lynn, not that they're signing him, is say a 3 WAR player.. and he'll replace a 1 WAR or replacement level player.. only giving them 2-3 wins mathematically.. but I've been on record before when discussing Hurdle that so much of a 162 game season is mental/clubhouse/motivation that I think a signing like that really would be a boost to everyone and help a lot more than just the numbers suggest.
