Interesting bit from Cervelli on this. He's apparently been in contact with Kang during all this. Kang has recently been telling him that he's coming back, and Cervelli seems to have thought he was full of ****.

I think Kang is a turd, but given this team's own recent history with DUIs and signing another player with legit alcohol issues, I'm inclined to say Kang gets a shot at redemption, but I think he fudges it up.

For the record, I have no opinion on whether asian people are more or less honorable than non-asian people. I just don't think it will have any impact on whether Kang is good or not good anymore.

It is a pretty non-controversial thing to say Asian cultures are more honor/shame based than Western ones and that it may have an effect on how Kang comes back.

But it is quite shocking that the "we love diversity so much everyone needs to think and act the same" crowd disagrees.

It's a ruse. It goes something like this:

*gets called out*
"hahaha, j/k"

"Controversial reactionary thing"
*doesn't get called out*
"*whew*, *smug satisfaction*"

The constant **** posting and backtracking has made it so he can be as pessimistic/racially insensitive/[bad take here] as he wants and when it gets any kind of pushback he can obfuscate it by masking intent.

It's harmless and doesn't detract from my enjoyment of the board. It's just the most disingenuous posting behavior out of everyone I've interacted with on these last two boards.
