My buddy took his 6 year old twins and 3 year old to their first pirates game. Maybe they were still there, I'll have to find out

Masochist. Of the six non-MLB quality pitchers used last night which one was your favorite?

Lol masochist indeed. Although in fairness it was "close" until the 7th.

Not only did I stay, I kept score. 10 walks, 3 wild pitches, 2 HBP. Phillies scored 17 but somehow left 13 guys on base.

My favorite performance, as usual, was glasnow, who somehow was annoited to be the grown up in the room to clean up the mess created by dovydas rich rod and smoker. He pitched two innings, and recorded all 6 outs by strikeout. The problem is he also gave up 5 hits (including 2 doubles) and a walk. It might have been the most glasnow outing of all the glasnow outings.

Feliz back, McRae up, Neverwhatever down, Smoker down, same lineup as last night (lulz), which means no Meadows, who like the rest of the lineup is no longer good or displays power because Branson is bad at this job, which makes him just like Hurdle and Searage.

I hope a mutiny to get rid of this dumbass coaching staff is in the near future:

On top of that nonsense, down 1 in the 9th, leadoff man Dickerson doubles and then neither JHay or Mercer makes a concerted effort to move him over to third to make a sac fly the tying play. Maybe dumbass Hurdle was trying to guard against an 18 inning game again.

This is pretty funny: https://www.facebook.com/DKPittsburghSp ... 887035166/

DK’s people won’t say who made it, so it isn’t Benstonium.

It’s bad. Not sure how long they plan on trotting out this current iteration of the team.

I am bummed we missed him by one day in Altoona.

One thing I noticed was Ke'Bryan Hayes has crazy good patience at the plate. He drew three walks last night.

Some sobering facts about josh bell. There are 25 first basemen that qualify for a batting title at the moment. Of those 25, JB is.....

12th in batting average
20th in WAR
22nd in OPS
last in home runs
last in hard hit ball percentage
19th in soft hit ball percentage (i.e. only 6 guys have more soft contact)

Keep in mind that the 25 first basement include chris davis, who is literally worse than hitler, the ghost of albert pujols, and has beens like ian desmond and logan Morrison. in other words, he is outperforming bums with unmovable contracts and that is about it.

And as far as defense goes, he is 18 out of 21 in defensive runs saved.

tldr josh bell needs to get better. he has inherited "if this guy played better we wouldn't be in this mess throne" throne from cole.

Speaking of Pujols, he is now at 627 HR, 135 behind Bonds's record. He's on pace for about 25 this season, so it would take him 5 more seasons roughly to get there at this pace. He's signed for 3 more years after this with LAA.

Gr8 post. Depressing, but eye opening. Your analysis and comparison posts are better than most stuff put out by the actual Pirates guys.

GMNH says optimism has turned to realism, says the Pirates need to do better than 4-4 against the Nats and Brewers.

Those statements can't logically go together.
