Jung Ho went 4 for 5 tonight with a homerun, stolen base, and 3 RBIs. It's only been three games but he's now batting 500/600/1000/1600 in A+ ball. If adding him to the roster means SRod is sent packing then I'd be fine with him drinking in the dugout during games.

The most amazing statistic of 2018 belongs to Gunnar Hoglund, a Florida prep right-hander who pitched in his final regular-season game tonight and has jumped into first-round consideration. In 47 1/3 innings this season, he has struck out 107 batters and walked 0.
More fun with numbers

Hoglund struck out 75.8% of the batters he retired this season

He has a 20.36 K/9 DEAR LORD THAT’S INSANITY

His K/BB ratio is INFINITY

Austin Meadows' brother was drafted by the Tigers. He committed to going to Clemson, so Iwe'll see how that plays out.

He needs work in the minors to be a ground ball pitcher.

Pirates spent their third round pick on a SS who put up an OPS of 649 in 3 seasons of college ball. I don't even know how to react to that.

that is compared to chase darnaud, noted crappy hitter, who had a ops of over 800 at pepperdine

I think the structure of the draft bonus system pushes teams to make signability picks at this stage in the draft. I imagine their top three picks are going to eat up a ton of their bonus pool.

Jung Ho Kang is indeed starting at shortstop tonight in Bradenton. He will speak to the media tomorrow.

I have no idea about the makeup of the Marauders’ lineup, but it’s interesting he’s getting work at short.

Bye bye Serpico?

GMNH said they intend to use him at 3B and SS.

Nice if Joe Block to spend 5 minutes talking about how Pederson’s two previous ABs against Musgrove resulted in HRs before he made it 3 in a row.

Harrison
Meadows
Marte
Cervelli
Dickerson
Freese
Moran
**** SRod
Williams

If Jordy is so sick that he has to keep sitting out games while SRod plays (has there been an investigation into possible tampering by Hurdle? Glass in food like Ryan O'Reily and Adebisi did to Nino Schibetta?) than stick his ass on the DL and get Newman up here for a week.

Was that... A save? Raise it. Back over .500 where many people predicted they'd be on 6/6

Daniel Hudson started today for the Dodgers. They've used four pitchers so far. The Pirates have two hits.
