Moment of the game was sitting back on defense when up 26-14 and not getting early pressure on the QB and basically letting them go down the field. What a waste of a night.

Hopefully, Urban has a massive heart attack after this game. **** him too.

Why didn't they kick the FG?

I want just one question asked of CJF in every press conference the rest of the season: Why would you run Sanders on 4th and 5 when Trace McSorley had a career day going vs Ohio State?

From an outsider, imo the call wasn't a run to Sanders, it was a read option. The same play that McSorley kept instead of handing off and gashed OSU all night on. OSU just defended it perfectly that time. If he held onto it there was nowhere for him to go either

You’re probably right and it’s still a terrible play call. Osu wasn’t gonna let that play beat them. Call a pass play where Trace has a chance to scramble if is not there. Osu secondary was missing two starters at that point.

After further review...

-the things that were a bit masked by the massive blowouts and 55 ppg offense reared their ugly heads last nite. Things like dropped balls, slow linebackers, and bad tackling can’t happen in big games like that

-2 straight years that the defense choked the game away. People will point at the last play but this game was lost at 26-14 when they elected to play a base defense and bring no pressure. And how they weren’t keying the RBs the entire game and make Haskins beat you with his feet is mystifying.

-the last play call sucked. Should have been a straight pass play. As noted above, if Trace keeps it, he gets swarmed. But go back to the 3rd quarter when they were stopped on 4th and 1. Run Sanders there and they likely get the yard. Instead, they try the TE escape and the DE makes a big play. I was fine with not kicking there cuz they should get that yard.

-OSU secondary played really well and they showed that PSU receivers don’t know how to separate themselves. Hamler is the only one who can and he seems to he the only one that can catch. Johnson is a giant disappointment right now and it seems his malaise has spread to the rest of the corps.

-2 weeks until the next game. Don’t see OSU losing 2 so this may just be playing for pride and a trip to Miami.
