For those of you down on PSU: who are the biggest threats to them in this entire conference besides OSU? Michigan and MSU right? Would PSU come out as flat as those two have, at home, against mediocre Maryland and Northwestern teams?

No way.

There’s Wisconsin too, but they showed the country who they were losing to a BYU team at home who lost to Utah St last night.

PSU under Franklin this season and the last 2 seasons as well wouldn’t do this at home. They just wouldn’t. Even on the road where they’re admittedly weaker - they take care of business.
I agree that michigan state and michigan are both threats

I like PSU +10 at Michigan this weekend.

Our O is better, our D has proven for stretches it can be solid... and really no one on that Michigan offense scares me much.

Michigan tends to choke around this part of the season too. Just a hunch.
Bad hunch imo

That's true. Penn State is clearly not good, yet Pitt got curbstomped by them at Heinz Field

Which is nice, because no matter how colossal of a disappointment this season, McSorley, and Franklin are, 51 to freaking 6. 51-6. Mmm.

51-6 and Pitt fans crawled back into their holes.

But now they’re back out of them, until VT beats them this weekend.

Harbaugh is cut from a similar cloth to franklin. He hasn’t forgotten last year and wants revenge. Michigan by 3 tds.

You must love us more if you keep coming over to this thread to stir things up. The only time I ever think of Pitt is at 5:09pm and it’s a very fleeting thought.

Honestly, end of the day, 9-3 is the most likely outcome this season and is not too surprising. Yeah Franklin needs to beat OSU/MSU/Michigan more. Yeah I’m still disappointed, especially with how easily they could’ve sealed the deal against OSU/MSU and how flat they were yesterday. But also yeah - Franklin overall has brought this program to a good place, and I trust the talent he’s brought in to come through.

Just finish strong, win out, 10-3 after losing the best RB, TE in PSU history along with a few other NFL caliber players... is not the end of the world. People were frustrated with Harbaugh for a while too for not being able to win big games - and he’s basically just one win away from breaking through. Absolutely no reason Franklin can’t get there too.

And Trace is a PSU legend. Wherever he goes, whatever he does - he’s going to be successful. This stretch has sucked for him because he prides himself as a big time winner, but he will go out strong.

I despise very few people, but Jim Harbaugh is definitely one of them.

I sometimes wonder if his own unlikable brother ever looks at him and shakes his head, like, "Dude, you're SUCH a petulant dick."
Let me guess, Penn State/Ohio State fan?
