Starting the season in the top 10... I know it means jack squat, but it’s a good feeling.

Arkansas State got a vote...huh.

Also interesting that #1 Alabama had 42 first place votes, #2 Clemson had 18, and #4 Wisconsin had one. None for #3 Georgia.

The AP Poll is about as meaningful as the FAF 'Is a hot dog a sandwich' poll. There's plenty of debate about it but in the end, it means nothing.

Preseason rankings may be meaningless. But personally, I like this team and our “overrated” coach.

90% of college football is having the best players on your team. With his recruiting, he's got that 90% of the job on lock. He needs to clean up the stupid sh*t like giving critical games away that would get the team into the playoffs. Certainly not overrated in my book, but could understand other's opinion as such.

This is where I stand. He is a phenomenal recruiter, and the fact that this team has a Top 5 recruiting class heading into this year (higher than Alabama, Clemson, OU, Florida State, etc) is remarkable. But the in-game management has to get better.

Anyone going to Pitt vs PSU? Got a text from my brother this morning letting me know that he got us tickets. I'm excited. I consider Pitt as a rival so I can't wait to attend this game.

I won't be going, but maybe next year when they're back in happy valley.

As for this year... inspired by our Pitt brethren: prediction time.

App State: W
@Pitt : W
Kent State: W
@Illinois: W
tOSU: W
MSU: W
@Indiana: W
Iowa: W
@Michigan: L
Wisconsin: W
@Rutgers: W
Maryland: W

W over Wisconsin in the B1G title game, and into the playoffs as the 3 seed.

That thread was less about opinion and more about 'who here has the ability to recognize objective truth'.

I would absolutely love for this to pan out, but I think we actually finish 3rd in the East. Hate the way these divisions are set up.

I’m being overly hopeful, I’ll admit that.

Most likely 10-2, best case is what I predicted above, worst case is 8-4.

Have a feelng PSU wins at the Big House. Whether that is a pick me up after losing the OSU game or gets dampered the next week with a loss to Wisconsin is the question I have.

I’m more confident they’ll beat OSU than I am that they’ll beat Michigan. Not that they can’t beat Michigan - I think they’re the better team. But Franklin, much as I love him as a coach, needs to prove he can win the big road game. And Pitt doesn’t count.

I would gladly lose to Pitt if it was the only loss and still lead to the playoffs even if it meant getting choke slammed by Clemson or Alabama.

Going undefeated in Big Ten would be fun.

Good news -- you'll likely see a win.
Bad news -- it's Thanksgiving weekend and you may have to snowshoe to the stadium (anyone remember the Michigan Snow Bowl of 95? That was fun)

In game show parlance, you went for the big bucks and you got a whammy.
