Lucky for Pitt, Swinney is no Franklin. Franklin won’t hesitate to run it up next year in State College, too.

Rather not play this weekend and await our warm weather bowl destination than get dismantled for a 6th loss and subsequently sent to Shreveport or Detroit.

I will say, I think all of my posts in the Pitt thread have just been general discussion vs. anti-Pitt trolling. I am a diplomat and an example of what a modern fan should be.

I grew up cheering for Pitt and Penn State... attending Penn State and interacting with slappy drew me to disliking Pitt. That said, when they're not playing PSU, I still cheer for them.

Hmm....I wouldn't go that far. Actually, up until a few years ago I would root for Pitt basketball and pull for them in the Big East/NCAA Tournament. But similarly, interacting with others at this board has made me strongly dislike Pitt and I wish nothing but failure for their entire athletic program.

You act like I'm one of those ND/Duke/Patriots fan people. I grew up watching Pitt basketball while PSU was largely irrelevant, although I do remember the heady days of the Crispins at PSU. Aside from the period I liked Pitt basketball, I have always rooted for all Pittsburgh sports teams and Penn State...that's hardly an abnormal slate of rooting interests.

It's not like I'm jumping on the Sixers bandwagon despite living in this area. Although I was a Bulls fan growing up in the 90s, but who wasn't then
