Those are my favorite kind of meals.had a bunch of stuff in the pantry/fridge/freezer
made some broth from left over turkey bones, cowboy steak bones, bone in pork chop bones, and remnants from the broth bag
then used some frozen turkey, left over potatoes, celery, carrots and frozen corn and made a soup.
good stuff

Same thing as (nearly) every day... Turkey on toast with bread and butter pickles and suhey peppers (hot). Along with pretzels and hummus.

Lunch
my typical lunch for the past few months has been two whole grain frozen waffles, some maple syrup and a serving of Hippeas puffed chickpeas. Around 380 calories total and pretty fibrous/protein-laden so I feel full
I don't eat breakfast so a light lunch enables me to feel guiltless with eating whatever the **** I want for dinner which is nice

Jersey Mike's blows the others away, IMO. I haven't eaten at Subway in yearsGrabbed a Jersey Mikes sub for the first time. Pretty tasty.
today's lunch for me was Freddy's Steakburger and fries. so much better than Steak'n Shake.

There is no better hoagie than Jersey Mike’s. It just doesn’t exist.

They replaced the CFA in the HUB (the student union building). I’ll have to ask my wife about them… I’m sure she’s tried it.Slim Chickens FTW today.
(Apparently they recently (?) opened their first PA location - at Penn State campus...)

I have two, maybe three local joints near me that are better. Maybe the best chain. Anyway, Lock, Stock & Barrel, Hotrod's and Hangry's. Hangry's is close. Other two are definitely betterWhen it comes to cold cut hoagies? Name names…Well that's just not true

Used to drive past that when going to MIL's house...always wanted to try their hoagies. Thought they were called Big Hoss Hoagies for the longest time.Big Ross Hoagies in North VersaillesWhen it comes to cold cut hoagies? Name names…Well that's just not true

I believe that their claim to fame is that the chicken is buttermilk-marinated (and thus juicier) + more than 15 dipping sauces [+all the usual stuff - made to order, all natural...). Anyway, I like them better than the usual chicken alternatives (Chick-Fil-A, KFC,...) And my older daughter went to pre-school with the daughter of one of the founders...They replaced the CFA in the HUB (the student union building). It's worth a shot to give them a try. I used to live just down the road on Route 30 so would get them all the time. The Titanic is monstrous and delicious. I'd say in the Pgh area there are 100's of better hoagie shops than JM's.
