has anyone been to a concert at hersheypark stadium? if you have floor seats, is there actually a view or is better to sit in the stands?
I know this is REALLY late but just saw this post. Hersheypark is the worst venue I have ever been to. There are basically two lines for beverages for the entire stadium. I waited in line for an hour during the warmup to get a beer.

Parking is a giant pain in the ass and unless you have VIP parking you are trekking a mile across the highway.
We actually had a delightful experience. I’m not dumb enough to pay ten dollars for a beer and we got a hotel so we walked and didn’t park.

Rock at the Park in Lancaster was a blast last night, even with the rain. They have a really nice venue, it helped that we got the suite package. Got to meet Eve 6 after the show so that was a treat for 90s me.

Madden hates this place. I doubt he'd amass 50k+ posts over two boards/12 years

Winger/either Cinderella or Poison.
Nine Inch Nails/Die Warzau
10000 Maniacs
Violent Femmes
fIREHOSE
Nirvana/Breeders (I love that this show is on youtube, is in decent quality and even captures the shitty acoustics of the W&M hall that they were playing.)
Survivor and Weird Al. Same county fair in Milwaukee, but on different nights.
Everclear/Fishbone/Weapon Of Choice
Hootie and the Blowfish
Nine Inch Nails/Pop Will Eat Itself
Limp Bizkit/???? (not gonna pretend to remember who opened for them in 1996)
Blue Line Band
two different xFests, which had everything from Jimmie's Chicken Shack, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Green Day to Scott Weiland
Fantomas/Tool
Blue Man Group x2
Nine Inch Nails/Jane's Addiction
Foo Fighters/Mariachi el Bronx/Rise Against
Foo Fighters/Royal Blood
Mayhemfest, which included Slayer, Anthrax, Motorhead
Social Distortion
GWAR/Corrosion Of Conformity
Slayer/Anthrax
Slayer/Rob Zombie
Vandals/Pennywise/Bad Religion/Offspring/Chuck Ragan
Galactic Empire/Mac Sabbath
Interrupters/Bad Religion/NOFX
Cannibal Corpse/Lamb Of God/Anthrax/Slayer
Iron Chic/Descendents
I Speak Machine/Gary Numan
7 Seconds/Circle Jerks/Negative Approach (7 Seconds cancelled due to COVID)
Me First & The Gimme Gimmes
Lead Into Gold/Skinny Puppy (SP show postponed)
Adolescents/Circle Jerks/Descendents
Lead Into Gold/Skinny Puppy (makeup show)

Jesus Jones
is this a recent add or a "saw them in 1991 and kinda forgot until now" add?

If yes, I had no idea they were still touring.

Saw them at Metropol in the early 90s with Ned's Atomic Dustbin.

I know exactly which show that was.

late summer of 1991, either late August or early September. Had tickets but didn't have a car that was making it to Pittsburgh, or at the very least it was driving that far but probably wasn't making it back.

Afterwards my 6’5” 280 buddy got crushed by the clerk at Primantis for daring to ask for fries and slaw on the side.

We took a VW bus down from Grove City so it was sometime after college was back in.

Panic at the Disco puts on an excellent show. They’re not close to my favorite group, but I’ve taken my daughters to two of their concerts and both were awesome.

Took Mrs. Franchise to Avett Bros at Stage AE tonight. As with the rest of the adult alternative bands (Mumford, Lumineers) she likes thar we’ve seen- very talented, just not really my thing. But add to the list.

First concert ever was Olivia Newton-John, at the Civic Arena, and the roof was opened for the show. I'm not sure how my parents decided that was a whole family event as it was my sister (3 years older than me) who wanted to go. But alas, I went and it is the first real concert I can remember going to, mainly because the roof was opened for at least part of the show.

I've seen Van Halen twice in Pittsburgh both with Sammy Hagar, one time with Our Lady Peace as the opener, another time with Vince Neil. Also saw Van Halen in Cleveland with Hagar, with Collective Soul as the opener. I've seen Van Halen 4 times here in South Florida. 2004 with Hagar, and Laidlaw as the opener. 2007 with David Lee Roth, with Kylani Marley as the opener. 2012 with Roth and Cool and The Gang as the opener. Finally, 2015 with Roth and Kenny Wayne Sheppard as the opener.

Saw Sammy Hagar once solo in Pittsburgh, down at Station Square where I believe Highmark Stadium now sits. I vividly remember Hagar having to stop his dialogue with the crowd as a train rolled by in the middle of the concert.

I've seen Def Leppard twice in concert, one with Styx and Tesla, and another time with Lita Ford and Poison.

I've seen Matchbox 20 twice in concert, once with Lifehouse as the opener, and another time with Everclear as the opener. (Would love to see just Everclear, as they kicked ass).

I've seen Maroon 5 once with Kelly Clarkson as the opener.

I've seen Stone Temple Pilots once in Erie PA when I was in college, with Cheap Trick as the opener.

I saw Aerosmith with Lenny Kravitz as the opener down here in Florida...more of a dual billing. Awesome show.

I saw Dream Theater in Pittsburgh at Metropol, but I don't think it was Metropol at the time. Can't remember what else is was afterwards. That would have been 1994-1995 ish, as I remember I was the only one in my group that was still underage and couldn't go watch from the upstairs bar area.

Saw Iron Maiden several years ago. Can't remember who the opener was....I'm think that might have been Laidlaw as opener as well.

I saw Imagine Dragons a few years back, shortened set, as they played an event in Anaheim for the company I work for.

Most recently, saw Foo Fighters here in South Florida this year. One of my favorite bands, along with Van Halen, but my first time seeing them as they hadn't played in South Florida in 12 years. Struts opened for them and they kicked ass.

Actually, more recently, saw Buckethead for the 2nd time at a club a few weeks after the Foo's show.

Finally, hoping to go see Sammy Hagar and the Circle (Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham, Vic Johnson) in a few weeks.

I think that's my whole concert history, as least what I can remember.

So, Pentatonix. Got Mrs. F tix for our anniversary because I thought she liked them, which she does based on their Christmas music.

We found that apart from that- Sept 1 is too early for Xmas material- you need to separate what they do from the material they perform. What they do with no instrumentation is absolutely incredible and that alone was worth seeing.

Apart from Hallelujah which was fabulous and Bohemian Rhapsody, the pop material they performed was mostly crap ( in this writer’s esteemed opinion). Felt like the talent was diminished by the material.

The multitude of kids and tweens in attendance loved it though.
