Not for nothing, but Munchak confirms it was a family decision:
“It was a family decision all the way,” he said. “This was all about family from the beginning. If my daughter lived here, I wouldn’t have taken any head coaching interviews. I’d rather be a line coach here than a head coach anywhere else, other than family.”

It's tough to mix family and football too...the offseason is only like 10, 11 months tops...and that flight from Pittsburgh to Denver is probably almost the length of a football game...it'd literally be impossible, literally, for them to have any type of relationship if he stayed in the place he was already at...

We can really only go off what the people involved say. Everything else is rumor and innuendo.

You'd make a fine White House Press Secretary.

Snark aside; the statement does carry some weight because he just cut his career off at the knees in terms of both opportunity and earning potential. He just said he never wants to work anywhere but Denver so he has to both wait for that head coaching opportunity to come around again and if he does take it Elway doesn't have to pay him anything because he's tethered to the city.

Say he gets fired in two years because Elway is a fickle executive that can't manage talent. Then what? Retire?

 Honest question: has it been reported anywhere that his move had to do with anything other than family? A report that actually has sources, I mean, and isn't just opinion.

steelers fans that love drama and read all the social drama media sites are so sick and tired of all the steelers drama that it's obvious the steelers organization is a dumpster fire and everyone wants out

Do you think an offensive line coach is gonna come out or leak out or have anyone care to pick up the story of a leak out that he thinks the Steelers are a complete ****show...?

I think he would just not say anything in that case. That's not to say that the Steelers aren't a complete **** show, but people are just assuming that Munchak's departure is due to the Steelers drama. Until we see an actual report with actual sources stating he left because of a **** show, we're just going off speculation from people who aren't in the locker room.

I think it's reasonable to say that the motivation was family, but the cause was the Dumpster fire in the Steelers locker room.

JuJu just seems like a good dude. I also forget that a lot of these players are still kids.

Art Rooney said Ryan Shazier still wants to rehab with the idea of playing football again. His contract is up, so Rooney said they probably would have to sign him as a player this year to allow him to do that
What doctor would clear this guy?

Dude probably needs a purpose to stay intensely focused on the rehab. Maybe signing the contract gives him access to the intensive rehab programs offered through the Steelers medical program. I don't see anything wrong with keeping him on to let him continue with the trainers that he is currently with.

Can you sign him to the front office?
Even if you give him league minimum, can you write that off if he was PUP prior to signing?

I can see wanting to do him a solid and keeping him in the family and working with his doctors he has been rehabbing with, but how do you do that without hurting yourself competitively.
