Wait. Munchak is going to Denver to be...the OL Coach?

Man, **** the Steelers. Dude left for a lateral position. How toxic is this staff?

His daughter and grandkid live in Denver. Spends most of his offseason there.

I'm excited to see the yinzers overreact to an OL coach leaving.

He's the best in the business. Concern is warranted, particularly given this offseason.

It's a symptom of a larger issue. Munchak leaves for a lateral position whilst Keith Butler is given more responsibility (LB coach). The organization is rotten from the inside out.

No doubt this played a role. As for AB, I don’t want a pick for him. I want a top tier starter on the secondary, because this is a win-now team.

Trade him to one of those teams that has had like six starting QBs in five seasons.

Munchak already replaced by promptly Shaun Sarrett.
Shaun Sarrett is in his seventh season with the Steelers and his first as assistant offensive line coach. Sarrett spent the previous six years as the team’s offensive assistant, primarily helping coach the offensive line, and assisting the offensive coaching staff with game preparation, video analysis and the scouting of opponents.
Talk about a downgrade.

Maybe Munchak knew he’d have a better shot of being a head coach in Denver since the Steelers treat their coaches til death due us part.

Denver is a sort of mid-pack O-line, right? I don't know that I'd call them in rebuild mode, but they really don't have pieces like Pouncey, DeCastro, Foster, Villanueva, Gilbert, etc. So I'm not sure how much of an advantage being in the building is in terms of an inside track if he spends 2-3 years coaching mediocre players. Is that really preferable to having 40% of his players selected to the Pro Bowl?

It's tough to mix family and football too...the offseason is only like 10, 11 months tops...and that flight from Pittsburgh to Denver is probably almost the length of a football game...it'd literally be impossible, literally, for them to have any type of relationship if he stayed in the place he was already at...

In 18 years as an NFL RB coach, James Saxon had an RB selected to the Pro Bowl...15 times.

If the Steelers want fans to lose interest in the team, they're on the right path.

lets be honest, this will have little impact to the fan base once the 2019-2020 season starts
