The sad thing about Dupree is that he's still been an upgrade over Jarvis.

Colbert has been here a long time with a pretty solid track record and the drafting on offense is still pretty solid. Maybe defensive genius Mike Tomlin gets more say on defensive picks and really sucks at it.
See, I don’t even know if it’s about scouting though. We knew guys like Dupree, Burns, Hargreaves were extremely raw. These guys to me just haven’t seemed to improve from being raw athletes.

Dupree legitimately does not have a single move he uses. Zero bull rush, no swim, no cutting inside, no spins. He’s exactly what he was out of college, a raw athlete who needed coaching up.

Same with Burns. He has all the traits to be a good corner, but he still struggles is zone defense and only uses his athleticism to make any plays. Zero cerebral play

And to me this comes down to the LB coach (in regards to Dupree) and Lake (for Burns) and then the DC. Tomlin gets a bit of a pass here because it’s hard for head coaches to get one on one time with these guys.

But Tomlin is 100 percent plus more responsible for the no holds barred, sloppy ass play of the entire team. It’s about accountability and he has none now

Lake is gone. Bradley is here and he sucks. It's time to stop the regression of our DBs and hire a real DB coach

Just blow the whole team up. Trade and fire everybody. That's the only way to change the culture of this team.
No! We need stability! It's the Steeler Way. The coaching position is treated like a Supreme Court spot...Tomlin is there until he dies or retires.

10 years ago I never would have believed I would dislike this team as much as I do now. When contrasted with likable organizations like the Penguins, it's even worse.

Every time Bradley is brought up here I think of Draftnik's constant posts about his active social life (context here is right after Pitt fired Wannstedt):
Bradley doesn't only recruit/hunt HS FB players. He's one of the top cougar hunters in Western PA. I'm not sure he would be the ideal frontman for an image conscious university.

It's also worth mentioning that the ILB coach is Jerry Olsavsky, Pitt Man, who coached at TJHS, Chaney High School, Duquesne, UNC, and YSU before coming to the Steelers, first working as a defensive assistant for four seasons before getting a gig as a position coach in 2015.

The OLB coach is Joey Porter, Friend of Mike Tomlin, who spent a single season as a Student Assistant at Colorado State before coming to the Steelers, spending another single season as a defensive assistant, before getting elevated to his current position as OLB Coach, also in 2015. The only reason he has his current title is because his buddy, HCMT, was worried about hurting his feelings if they made Jerry-O the LB coach.

Coincidence that Vince Williams turned into a stud? I think not.

I didn’t want to blame Bradley for the short time he has been here. I figured he at least needs a year

People replying to AB saying the Pats should trade for him kill me. Not a snowball's chance in hell would AB get anyway with anything under BB's watch.

306.9 Yards allowed passing per game 2017 (5th in NFL)
388 Yards allowed passing per game 2018

We should all hope this experiment gone wrong doesn't last more than a year

I'd like to note that james caught a touchdown and had 100 yards receiving. but his team lost and therefore he is a loser

Eh, can't say it was a bad weekend. Pitt won, and notwithstanding the Steelers looking like headcases, they will win the division in the end imo.

I was watching the game on and off so I missed the Brown-Fichtner confrontation, and having now seen it: what's the big deal?

It came immediately after the Steelers scored a TD. Instead of celebrating with his teammates on the field, AB went to the sidelines to dodint at the homeless man OC for not getting him the ball enough.

And unsurprisingly for the viewing public (and opposing team), two of the next three plays targeted AB.

I really don’t care what these clowns say on social media provided that they perform on the field.

It is crazy how much the character of this team has changed in five years. I've never bought into the Steeler way stuff, but they have lost a lot of leadership in that locker room

Saw that Lev was out dicking around on some jet skis today. I hope he gets hit by a boat.
