joe haden seems like a good dude imo
One of the local sports guys on Twitter mentioned Haden was a good guy (he mentioned other players as well).

The honest truth is likely that the vast majority of guys on the team are good guys, it's just that the shitheads have become extremely overpowering.

Word on the street is AB is getting a fine at most. Why bother?

AB owns the team. Not suspending him for at least a half/series shows AB that he's more important than the team itself.

I dont know if they are allowed to do so under the CBA. My recollection is that there are set penalties for various violations, and that missing a practice is probably fine only category (especially if its first time like is the case here). Tomlin, of course, could choose not to play him instead of officially "suspending" him.

That would be dumb, imo. AB gives the team the best chance to win. He also gets paid either way under that scenario. He has the leverage, because his contract makes him untradeable/unwaivable. Keep fining his ass the max everytime he does some nonsense is the only option, I believe.

Sitting AB is dumb imo. I would entertain the idea if the Steelers were 2-0. Alas, they aren't and must win Monday. AB helps them win.

This is from 2012, and they update this fine schedule every year:

https://www.prideofdetroit.com/2012/5/2 ... sciplining
(viii) Unexcused missed mandatory meeting, practice, curfew, scheduled appointment with Club physician or trainer, material failure to follow Club rehabilitation directions, scheduled promotional activity, scheduled workout, weigh-in, or meal—maximum fine of $9,440.

So not arguing the stance, but how did they end up suspending Bryant for the Twitter thing? They openly stated they weren't playing Bryant.

Letting the team’s record dictate the course of discipline is bad business, imo

If LB's such a lyrical genius*, then why is he worried about getting every last cent out of an NFL deal to the point he lets it get this? Wouldn't he more than be making up for any income loss from football?
