Yeah, there will be teams that pay him. That won't be an issue.

I'll be surprised if he gets what he's looking for, but as long as the Jets, 49ers, and Jon Gruden still exist there's always a chance.

there aint no way some team is going to want to give him historically unprecedented guaranteed money or half rb half wr money or whatever it is he wants
Yeah, there's no way that Bell will get as much money as the Steelers offered him this off season.
I tend to agree with this. The reason he was offered like half of the guaranteed money that Gurley got was because Gurley has never shot his own toes off by failing piss tests nor missed chunks of seasons due to injury. I very much believe that the single greatest ability a player can bring to their team is 'avail', and that should be a significant factor in determining salary.

The best part is the encroachment penalty in the Tomlin image. Steelers are now in 1st place.

I've watched every game this season, and the concept of "the Steelers are in first place" is kinda surreal. Especially achieving that ranking in their bye week. That's....... boy howdy.

The speculation now is that he won't show until after the trade deadline.

Isn't it week 10 he needs to show up? Whatever the minimum is, that's when he'll show up.

Doesn't he have to report sometime this week and be on roster for Sunday's game (and each game for the rest of the season) for this season to count a a 'year' against his contract?

Is there a deadline for Bell to sign?

It's 4 p.m. ET on the Tuesday after Week 10 games (Nov. 13). That's the signing deadline for draft picks, unrestricted free agents getting a May tender and players with restricted free agent, franchise or transition tenders. If these types of players remain unsigned after this date, they are prohibited from playing during the 2018 season.

I don't care what happens, aliens could invade, Stormy Daniels could become the next president, the Pirates could put together the highest payroll in the history of Major League Baseball, I don't care, Marvin Lewis surviving 16 seasons as a head coach in the NFL with a record barely above .500, no playoff wins, no primetime wins, complete roster meltdowns, mentally unhinged players, etc. will forever be the most surprising thing. Not once in his 5,761 days as head coach of the Bengals has he shown an ounce of compentency for the position.

What's Patrick Peterson's contract? He requested a trade and I imagine we could afford him given what we offered Leveon. Conner + Peterson > Bell
