He did that on the previous loss, as well.

BRoeth is carrying the team this year. Brown has dropped off a ton this year, I mean he's still good, but he's not the difference maker he's been.

So basically, Shazier was covering up for a crap ton of garbage on defense till he broke his back, and they're still mired with that issue. Brown used to be all-world, and now he's just good, thank god Juju took a step forward, or they would be dreadful.

Asides from Tomlin being a not good coach. The front office deciding to ignore all visual and statistical evidence to commit to Dupree as a starter and the bold move of tagging Bell and assuming that would work out.
in defense of AB - he is (at least) double teamed every play. when he gets free, he has made a ton of plays this year. he is still one of the top WRs in the league. this is also a direct correlation to juju becoming more prominent

It's less a critique of Brown now, and more a statement of how amazing he was in prior seasons. I doubt that Brown is facing coverage this year that he wasn't facing in past seasons when he was all universe. And basically that Brown being so good made others around him better.

I kind of felt that way about Brown -- that he was having a down year -- but he's on pace for 106 catches, 1308 yards, and about 15 TDs. Its crazy that it "feels" low given what he's done historically.

Re Brown

He's still top ten in receptions and tied for the lead in receiving TDs. This is a 'bad' year.

-Bad officiating
-Bad field conditions
-Bad cleats

Looks like we got another item to add to the list of excuses in this 3 game losing steak:

-Bad X-RAY MACHINE

Am I missing any? Anything from the Denver game other than the fact they can't force turnovers and turned the ball over too much?

Steelers will explore outside kicking options in light of Chris Boswell’s struggles but will include Boswell in that evaluation, per Mike Tomlin.

Boswell doesn't need to be evaluated. We already know he's ****.

I love Rocky Bleier. Dude went to Vietnam, got a damn Purple Heart, and came back to be a huge piece of the Steelers SB teams. He is dead on.

A hand grenade blew up between his feet, and then after that he played for ten years in a Hall Of Fame NFL career.

Right or wrong, guy can say whatever the hell he wants.

Did you know that since Tomlin became the Steelers head coach in 2007, road teams that were favored by nine points or more have a record of 58-15? Did you also know that five of those losses have been by Tomlin coached teams?

How can you defend that when the numbers speak for themselves?
That is quite a statistic.

I would like to know the parallel stat for home games. Because I feel that one will be almost as egregious. Maybe not 1/3 of the whole NFL egregious, but pretty well up there.

Steelers have opted to stick with Boswell. And have brought in Shaun Suisham to be his mentor.

I actually think this is a good idea. What took so long to think of it?

This is a stupid idea imo, and they should have made a change. The guy has missed 11 kicks this year between FGs and XPs. Enough is enough.

Chris Boswell is a good kicker. Chris Boswell is also a headcase right now that can't make kicks. Bringing in Suisham is not going to make Tomlin confident in sending Boswell out and will affect his play calling on the edges of FG range because of that doubt. Keeping Boswell at this point is a bad move and makes the team worse than picking up the next FA kicker.

Furthermore - who are our last midseason kicker pickups? Reed, Suisham, Boswell right? Seems to work okay
