Five of the six divisional games are before week 9. Yikes.
If the Steelers played in a good division I'd be worried. Alas, it will be all but wrapped up by week 10.

This isn't a super tough schedule in terms of competition, but they way the games are arrayed, with those front-loaded divisional match ups, and four consecutive road games against not terrible teams, etc..... yeah, I'm not overly optimistic here.
12-4?

11-5?

I haven't looked at the other teams' schedules to get a feel for what they're all up against, but on its face I'd say 10-6 is optimistic.

This is wildly negative tif. If 10-6 is optimistic then what is realistic? 8-8? 7-9? Get a grip.

Realistically, through the first 3/4 of that schedule there are four or five games that are gonna be tough. (both games against BAL [I don't care how mediocre they are, it's a tough matchup], ATL, CAR, JAX). Then at the end of the year, they have sort of wildcard matchups with LAC and OAK, who are in the same division and may be fighting for a playoff spot with each other and desperate. And they play NE again, who they can't ever seem to beat, even when they do. And the Saints were resurgent last year, and I never like watching the Steelers' secondary against an elite QB. And they only have consecutive home games once.

Baltimore is not a tough match up anymore, rivalry be damned. They are not remotely the team they were even 3-4 years ago.

The toughest part is whether the coaching staff can avoid sharting themselves, frankly... Which has been known to happen.

In the last three seasons, only one Steelers-Ravens game has been decided by more than one score. Last year, the second game was decided by one point after a 19-point 4th quarter comeback. The Ravens are not a gimme matchup.

- Steelers picked up the 5th year option on Bud Dupree. It can be pulled back before the start of next season, but if they decide to follow through with it his estimated cap hit and pay day is in the neighborhood of $9MM.

- Assumed Steelers first round target Leighton Vander Esch either does or does not have a cervical spine issue that is causing him to fall or not fall down the draft board of multiple teams.

As worded, the spine issue part of this statement is pretty much true of every human being.

Juju's dog is going viral, was this a bad use of Twitter? Despite the criticism, seems like Juju is creating solid content.

Tonight is only the first round right? If so, he probably isn't moved tonight. The return is what maybe a 3rd and 5th rounder? They probably only move him if they like a guy in the 3rd.

Agree with litt. A stand alone 3 would be a bonkers return. More likely you get a 5th or 6th; he's on his last season of his rookie contract and the guy is a real suspension risk obviously.

I have little to zero knowledge of how trading works in the NFL. Completely different from hockey.

Thank god for the Raiders. Who else would want a guy like that? Hope he gives Gruden a giant migraine.
