Top Brands in college football, according to 224 recruits:

https://twitter.com/PickSixPreviews/sta ... 5379274753

:pop:
Clemson #1

UPS/PSU #3

Alabama #19

WVU #28

Pitt #54
Kansas at #65 and not #114. This is obviously a flawed poll.

Death, taxes, myself coming in here to pound my chest about the Nittany Lions being #3.

Hate us all you want... but the PSU football brand is amongst the top in the country.

It’s mystifying that any parent willfully pays for their child (or sends them on scholarship) to go to that place.

One of the top programs in the country. Finishes the past 2 seasons, recruiting, brand, success at the next level, overall pride/success of other athletic programs as well, etc. etc. etc...

You’ll note that my post wasn’t primarily or metaphorically about athletic scholarships.

If you did that survey 5 years ago PSU would be 40th, 10 years ago and they’re 20th, like Michigan is now. If Oregon doesn’t find real success in the next 2-3 years the Nike money won’t make a lick of difference.

Eh, maybe. But let’s be real: with how big of a deal the program was the previous 30-40 years, everyone knew PSU would be back. It just happened a bit earlier than most anticipated. Also a helping factor is these past 2 seasons, they don’t really lose at home.

Obviously a much different scenario, but look at Nebraska. They were a big deal. Now, PSU is waaay ahead of that program. Not sure how long it’ll take to recover. They better hope Frost is the real deal.

Nebraska’s division should keep them competitive. Door is wide open. They need to do it soon though.

100% of the credit for PSU’s brand among recruits being where it is goes to CJF.

I am legit surprised that Bama is only listed 19th. If you look at the ESPN 300, top 10 are all Clemson, Bama, PSU, OSU. I goess it is a brand survey though not an “I want to be pretty sure I will win at least one national championship, probably more” survey
