That seems to be a popular spot. Do you park at the daycare?

The Rachel Carson Trail goes right by there, and if you find the yellow markers and walk a bit, you may find some decent fishing holes along the creek that are less used. Don't know if the stocked trout will make their way to those holes, but perhaps worth a short walk.

No, park on the other side, near that small business with the gate. There are a number of holes above the bridge, you just have to walk a little bit to find them. Usually we walk up the tracks, and work our way down to the bridge.

They stock it a number of times, too, which is nice. Most only go out for that day, and never come back.

I fished the DHALO section of oil in the state park the past. Really pretty place.

Great weather inbound for this weekend - it will be a nice change from the usual cold, dreary opening days we always seem to get.

Just printed out my fishing license. I love that you don't even have to go to the store for that anymore. Also stopped at Wal Mart this morning to pick up some Rooster Tails and Phoebes.

Tomorrow is gunn be gud.

Oh, I know - I've been printing several copies for a few years now. I still love how easy it is, compared to the old days of trying to flag someone down in Wal Mart that knew what the eff to do.

I don't think the price has changed since 2014. Mine was $38.80 with the trout/salmon and Lake Erie combo stamp. Around $23 for the base license.

Water levels look great in Oil Creek, too.

one of my first jobs as a 15 year old was working in a mom and pop hardware store cutting keys and doing fishing license. Good times.

My highschool was the first in the city to get metal detectors... we were all potential targets, but we didn't get paid for it... :pop:

First job was bus-boy at King's Family Restaurant. I will never not smell the distinctive garbage juice smell when someone says we should go to King's, Eat N Park, Denny's.

My first legit paying gig was making food at Hardee's.

I kind of liked it.

Titusville is the birth place of the oil industry, so everything up there is 'hurr durr oil'.

It gets the name from the run-off from your shower water, dodint.
