i think you do on punitive damages but I haven't had to deal with that as of yet

Yes, punitive damages are taxable. Compensatory damages for physical injuries including those that lead to emotional distress are not taxable. Injuries that are purely emotion distress with no physical injury element may be taxable.

In the few travelog shows he's done over the years, where you see him operating out in the world and not just in the curated environment of a TV kitchen, there are glimpses here and there of chauvinism. When 'On The Road Again' (let's rent Mercs and drive around Spain for a month!) first came out ten or so years ago, I remember there being a few moments where Mrs Tif and I were both like, '...ew'.

The last time we were in Seattle, we went to Salumi (his dad's sandwich shop) and ended up having lunch with a dude who I think was his uncle irrc. He seemed like a good dude. So I feel okay returning to Salumi, but I've deleted the trip to Babbo in NYC that I've wanted to make since 2002.

I remember rumors from years ago about Freeman having an inappropriate relationship with his step-granddaughter, who was apparently murdered in 2015 by her ex-boyfriend who testified in court that the rumors were true. Him being inappropriate with young women isn't all that surprising unfortunately.

Maybe I'm missing something, but this all seems pretty soff...I guess I don't know the degree of it, fine...but we're talking about 60 year old adults and someone getting yelled at...and then Bateman falls all over himself to go all Jerry Springer Final Thoughts (bonus points for "mansplain", that's gonna hit the target audience right in the fun button) in his follow-up tweet...seems like a mix of "soft" and "unnecessarily dramatic" from this outsider's point of view...

Harvey Weinstein set to turn himself in on sex crime charges in New York

Harvey Weinstein is expected to surrender to authorities Friday to face sex assault charges in connection with an attack on a student actress, the Daily News has learned.

The fallen Hollywood honcho is expected to be charged with preying on Lucia Evans, who told investigators that Weinstein forced her to perform oral sex on him in 2004, sources said.
