Eliza Dushku accusing the lead stunt coordinator Joel Kramer on the set of True Lies of molesting her when she was 12 years old. This sounds pretty awful, although not sure why her family wouldn't have encouraged her to go to the police. Especially considering she was working with Hollywood powerhouses (Jamie Lee Curtis, Schwarzenegger) who most certainly would have had her back, assuming they had a good working relationship on set.

His statement seemed authentic and this is a 36 year old reciting some very specific details from when she was 12. I haven't followed this since the day it broke, but I hope there was more corroboration that I've missed.

I also don't like defending someone who is most likely a child molester. So maybe I just let Hollywood sort this out.

I can certainly agree with this:

I completely missed that Ansari accuser ominously writing that he didn't even let her pick the kind of wine they had with dinner. The me too stuff is dangerously close to shark jumping, if it hasn't already. Which is a shame considering all of the legitimately horrible stuff that has happened.

Apparently 25 percent of women believe that being asked if someone can buy them a drink is harassment. Yikes.

It's gotten dangerously close to someone saying something to take down someone's career. It's a shame because you don't know if it's true, and it's a shame if it isn't true and ruins someone's life because of lies. Who knows, tough situation.

I think there is a general populace obsession with stardom that allows male celebrities to get away with things that no one should. I think it sucks that this woman had to sort of unwittling go along there, but you have to be a special kind of naive to go into that situation and expect somthing different

Yeah, I mean at some point you are your own agent in the situation. That doesn’t mean ansari wasn’t being an ass. But the line between being horny and asking for sex and assaulting a woman isn’t always blurry. I don’t think it was blurry here.

This reminds me of the Louis CK stuff where he asked and received permission but he still ended up falling because of the power imbalance. Except Aziz isn't exactly a mogul in the business so it just looks like regret on her part.

Personal accountability has always been a big thing with me. It just seems like it's lacking on both sides in a lot of these stories.

Without getting into the merits of the accusation, Ansari has been in multiple TV shows and films. He's not A-list by any means, but he's definitely a name with a measure of influence.
