Any of yinz plain folk make baked corn supreme with this? It comes out sort of like a corn pudding.

Shmenguin and DD are my side?

I need to rethink my stance here, boys.

:slug:
don't overthink it. if roasted turkey didn't suck, people would eat it more. just always remember that.

For realizes though. I’m not going to eat an inferior protein on a special occasion because of some tradition that I didn’t have anything to do with when it started.

That's fine... you're a monster for making someone that does enjoy the tradition of a turkey, but we've already established that.

No person with sane opinions on food is going claim superiority of turkey over XV-hour smoked brisket as a general matter, but you better have a damn turkey on the table if its Thanksgiving, even if its a small X-XII #er

think of all the atrocities in the world that are committed for the sake of tradition. what i'm saying is that you think muslim women should cover their faces today because they did yesterday. and i'm sorry - to me, that's not right. shame on you. imo.

Speaking of pardoning turkeys - what are the odds Trump doesn't pardon turkeys this year?

We do turkey for Thanksgiving, and last year for Christmas I cooked a prime rib. Sadly, it was my first time roasting one and I overcooked it (not terribly, but enough). We host a "friend Christmas" in early December that we will likely be ordering a Honeybaked Ham for again this year...pricey, but well worth the money IMO.

When it comes to holiday dinners, I put Easter and Christmas both at the bottom because of Ham. I hate it cold, and it happens to be the preferred choice of both sides of my family.

Yeah, ham is no good. I always stomach a sliver for the sake of my MIL but honestly unless it's puree'd into ham salad I don't want anything to do with it.
