One of my favorite memories of growing up in a... budget household was when my mom made egg noodles and put butter and salt on them. Very simple, but that was like fine dining for my sister and I.

Are kluski noodles similar or? I usually serve beef stroganoff over egg noodles

egg noodles are freaking awesome. when we re-introduced gluten after a 2 year ban, i was surprised how much i could enjoy something so simple and flavorless (take notes, turkey - just because you have no flavor doesn't mean you have to suck).

@columbia is that the Gruber Farms that does CSAs, out of St. George, SC?

That all sounds really good. There isn't a culinary arts program at your school, right?

I wish we would add one here - that would be awesome.

I wouldn't have guessed that Mashed Potatoes would win handily. It's like breadsticks being the best thing on the Olive Garden menu; totally makes sense in an understandably sad way.

In a 15 choice field that's pretty impressive.

The 'rents have pretty tradition taste, so we aren't doing anything fancy.

Boiled turkey (natch)
Mashed sweet potatoes
Green beans with pine nuts and bacon
Cornbread
Pumpkin pie (individual mason jars)

In order to satisfy the 'roasting turkey' fetish, I also purchased a turkey back that I will put in the oven on a bed of aromatics at noon to perfume the house. Then into water to make stock/gravy base.

Chuck Pagano says his favorite T-giving meal is spaghetti and meatballs. Too lazy to link, but thought the noodle crowd would appreciate the support
