We are getting a Honey Baked Ham for our Friend Christmas--those are damned delicious, especially with a really nice mustard to dip in. Last year I did a prime rib for Christmas, not sure if I want to have that level of work this year. Maybe I'll make meatloaf :pop:

I have a prime rib recipe that takes about 7 minutes to prep. The carving is still time consuming, however. It is my Christmas go to.

Oddly delicious ham: Aldi's spiral cut. I wouldn't expect such a great product from them, but my MIL gets one every Christmas and I love it.

'Ham' by definition is pork. But you can treat any meat with the same salt curing process. In Spain, cured horse meat is called 'cecina'.

So to answer your question, yes.

I think the word "require" influenced some perhaps...

I don't love stuffing per se...it's fine...but if someone said "hey man, you can never eat that ever again..." I don't even flinch...but it is a T-day requirement...

How "noodles" could beat "mac and cheese"...well...that would be some kind of upset...

I may have mentioned it earlier in the thread (too lazy to look it up) but my first thanksgiving at my mother in law's house, she brought out the gravy boat and there was gravy in it, sure, but also egg noodles. What in holy hell was I supposed to do with that? So there I am sitting there eating mashed potatoes with noodles mixed in. Apparently a weirdo family tradition. That was not delicious.

I've never seen mac n cheese as a Thanksgiving thing. On any other day, I'd take it over most, if not all of the others... But doesn't fit with the turkey, gravy, etc imo.

one of my favorite things about going to other people's thanksgiving dinner is to see the permutations of stuffing

sausage?
olives?
bacon?
apples?

Sign me up for that because I enjoy the crunchy stuffing that is the top most layer. A muffin tin would increase that surface area. Gawd dang that’s an idea and a half.
