Happy Thanksgiving dodints.

Dinner 1 went off without a hitch last night. Turkey was perfect. Side dishes slayed. Gravy was lumpless. Pumpkin pie was divine.

Can't help thinking we're gonna half ass today's. Lol. It's my sister and BIL, so less 'pressure'.

My daughter and I sampled the pumpkin pie last night. It was great.

I did a good bit of the prep work this morning for our dinner to make the afternoon/evening easy. Stoked.

Happy stuff yer face day, boys.

Real nice situation here, as my wife and I don't have to see either of our families. We're going to a mutual friend's (her maid of honor) parents with their small family. Smooth...

We stopped visiting family on thanksgiving. They are all welcome to come here if they’d like, but staying in my own house in sweat pants, cooking what I like, and getting good and drunk in the process…. *chefs kiss*

Booooo. Stuffing is great. But I do agree. It can’t be moist

I always assume stuffing has to get stuffed into the bird to be considered… ya know… stuffing. No thanks.

Dressing, cooked with some crispy brownness to the outside. Good stuff.

Dressing is wet. Like bread pudding.

We have entered into the phase of leftovers for every meal not named ‘breakfast’ until gone.

I had some nice Brussels sprouts, shredded with the mandolin, cooked in bacon grease. Probably the top side of my 2 Thanksgivings.

Took a little scoop of mashed potatoes at both joints. Pointless. Rather have more turkey

3 different types of stuffing, each one slayed

My MIL made the best apple pie I’ve ever had in my life today. Just perfection.

My wife usually bakes for both places. Instead we bought Costco pies - apple and pumpkin. The pumpkin was decent, the apple was unreal. Huge pie for like $12

Mashed potato pancakes (pretty damn good)
Sweet potato pancakes (not good)
Stuffing waffles (elite)

Got home a few minutes ago and the wife had a hot turkey sandwich and stuffing waiting. Feels good.

Leftover stuffing + waffle maker = stuffing waffles

I did them a couple years ago and they are indeed pretty tasty.
