I am somewhat opposed to the "First Four" continuing to be a thing, even though PC's five straight tourney streak only exists because of it. That said, highly enjoyable game last night between Bona and UCLA.

Also best wishes to Jamie Dixon vs tonight's winner.

Penn State's stars really had a tough time throughout most of the night, so it was even more satisfying still seeing them pull out a six point win. Tony Carr had one of the worst games of his career. Notre Dame is next...

That was pretty typical for a Temple team who could go into a 7-8 minute funk at the drop of the hat. Unfortunately, that funk came in the 4th quarter. May have spelled the end to the Fran Dunphy Era.

Speaking of Temple, @slappybrown will appreciate this example of sports "journalism"

http://www.phillyvoice.com/did-temples- ... ecruiting/
Let me be perfectly clear: I have zero knowledge or insider information on the recruiting process at Penn State or any school for that matter. What I do know is there are people calling for Dunphy to be fired. I also, upon first glance, interpreted Dunphy's response as, "Yeah, I would love to recruit all these Philly kids but I actually play by the damn rules."

Again, this is my read on Dunphy's answer and not a comment on Penn State's recruiting practices.

But regardless of whether or not you think Dunphy should keep his job, if I was a highly-respected basketball coach on the hot seat who felt like I was being undercut in my own city because others are playing dirty, I would be pissed, too.

I question why anyone would feel the need to continue writing after writing that first sentence.

Many people are talking about ups' recruiting practices in Philly. Some say they are ok though pushing the envelope, but many more say they are violating numerous NCAA rules and regulations. I do think there are many more hard questions to come.

A lot of gambling implications involved with that URI shot at end of regulation falling off the rim.

I've said multiple times UPS "success" will be short lived when the FBI stuff comes out. Many people agree

I'm with ya but I'm glad he hit that 3 at the end of the first half. #degenerategambler

Meanwhile, how about those massive onions out of those Loyola kids.

Allen was heavily booed by the non Duke contingent of the Paint Can crowd this afternoon.

I don’t usually advocate booing college kids but that one I’m OK with.

Loyola is a sexy Sweet 16 pick...and that kids, is why you have to make your free throws.

They could have at least had South Dakota State and San Diego State play on different days.
