Myself and my son are Nittany Lions but my daughter went to UNC and have family from North Carolina. But glad this kind of comment basically recognizes PSU is a blue blood type program in football.

PSU has a tough stretch run, 3 ranked teams then an unusually good Nebraska team. Split it to get to 20 and maybe they have a shot. Right now however they don't seem to be getting any national run. Tough to get noticed after so many years of doing jack.

Yeah, it’ll be tough. And honestly, not making the tournament with this talent would be disappointing.

But next year I really look forward to for them. Better not let me down then.

Penn State's played a ton better after getting back to full strength. They're starting to look like the team most expected them to be and they seem to be peaking at the right time. But...it's easy to look good against the Iowas, Illinois, Marylands, and Rutgers of the world. The win on the road at Ohio State is definitely a feather in the cap and could go a long way on Selection Sunday. With what's up next on the schedule (Suckeyes, at Purdue, Michigan, at Nebraska), they probably need to win 3 out of 4 to really make a splash and be in the discussion going into the conference tournament. The thing going against PSU right now is that their non-con schedule was horrifically weak and their best win (and only win against a top 50 RPI) is against Ohio State. But they're getting there and it's a much different team than the one that started the season.

Nice bounceback out of the Friars tonite. My boss is a PC grad and he was lamenting what he was expecting to come so he'll be very happy tomorrow. Meanwhile, Nova starting to show the form that consistently gets them knocked out in the first weekend of the tournament and frankly, I hope it happens again.

Cue Penn State getting beaten by 20 points tonight :(

It appears that PSU is a one point favorite, which is shocking. I really like that team this year, but I'm really tempted to put money down on OSU.

Holy crap...that was one of the craziest things I've seen.

2.9 seconds left, OSU just made a free throw. PSU guy threw it the entire length of the court, our guy caught it with one hand on the opposite baseline, and then came up for a reverse layup plus a foul. What a way to end the half.

I thought I'd get to see an entertaining 2nd half after the 7:00 games ended and the Penguins game ended but saw PSU was up 24 at the half and didn't need to turn it on. Good win for PSU but now they need to get the next one, too.

What an unbelievable game. I cannot believe how far this program has come. Not only did they sweep the best frigging team in the B1G, but they absolutely curbstomped them last night. Incredible.

Another tough spot Sunday night at Purdue. I'd be satisfied with a close, hard-fought loss. Hoping they make a deep run in the B1G tournament. They are the only team to beat Ohio State in conference play this year.

Beat Purdue!

They’re in if they do. Love the make-up of this team. Tony Carr is the best PG in the B1G and Shep Garner is a problem.

Will Pitt go win-less in the ACC? What a joke. You all laugh at me for how I get with this, but I just think so many of you don’t even realize just how superior PSU is to that school in just about everything.

Winning at Purdue guarantees nothing but a 20-win season. They're still gonna need to do a little bit of work to get in, though not that much. If they'd win today and then go loss vs. Michigan, loss at Nebraska, loss Wisconsin/Minnesota (currently the 6 seed now but 10-8 would likely get them 7th) in the first round of the conference tournament would land them squarely in the crosshairs of the bubble.

Good effort tonight.

What sucks is some of the stupid games they lost that put them in this situation where they really needed this W.
