Police are investigating reports of an alligator in the Monongahela River near Belle Vernon.
Southwest Regional Police Chief John Hartman says at least two people have reported spotting the alligator.

The first report came Tuesday night just before midnight, a man reported seeing the six-to-seven foot long alligator swimming upstream.

Onion: Police shot the 3ft alligator 147 times as they "feared for their lives" and thought that it was armed. One officer said, "He wasn't obeying office commands. We thought that we say a firearm in his possession. At one point I had to walk back to my car to get more ammo."

That's our Giant Eagle, down the hill from the house.

He's just a little guy, WCGW?

Also, **** KDKA for using that stock photo. It was a very skinny 2ft alligator, not a full blown 10 footer. KDKA is a rubbish organization.
