Yes, crunchy.

Jif is fine; in b4 the 'all natural' crowd that likes their PB swimming in that gross water that needs to be mixed every single time.

Smoother than a fresh jar of Skippy

Both are fine, but preference depends on the application.

I am a fan of smooth.

That said, I will eat crunchy (which my wife prefers) with no hesitation.

crunchy is the good choice but I question if I could handle crunchy 100% of the time

I go for smooth for banana bread or if I use it with apples/carrots.

Other than that, I go crunchy. Including eating it by the spoonful.

In my experience, crunchy lovers hate smooth. Smooth lovers do not mind crunchy. Smoothers are the more tolerant of the bunch, so to speak.

Here's a trick: stir it once and store in upside down at room temperature. It works really well, and tastes a lot better than the crap with shortening and sugar in it.

I cut up a banana and threw it in a bowl with some crunchy last night. Very satisfying.

I can eat it either way, crunch or smooth. But I only buy crunchy. If I'm at a hotel breakfast or something I can easily eat the little individual tub of smooth on a bagel or something.

Tangential; peanut butter used in baking, as in cookies, is horrific and should be abolished by Constitutional amendment.

If I were shopping for myself, it would be crunchy natural. But since I am outvoted and outnumbered, it's smooth natural.
