Neil would be perfectly fine to get 350-400 ABs at 3B

I think Harrison would go to 3rd. Not a terrible idea, but more of a kicking the can down the street on the left side of the infield move.

I don't think so either, but I'm not sure that signing Walker to play 3rd is a good idea either since he's played a total of 19 games at 3B his entire career. That's not a good ideaI think Harrison would go to 3rd. Signing Walker at this point would be like signing Ty Wiggington in 2005.

2nd to 3rd isn't the toughest transition. Neil played 440+ games at 3rd in the minors

What kind of money would he want?

His lack of range wouldn’t be exposed at 3B either.

I guess a hoped for league average player would be an upgrade. Not terribly inspiring, of course.

There goes my second suggestion for BN: international small cap.

I’d put the chances of Walker coming back at like 0%. He hates GMNH and signing him would take matching or bettering Harrison’s deal, which they want to get rid of. This is just your standard Pirate off-season rumor mongering in the name of good PR.

D(ic)K on Pittsburgh Sports was telling Madden he heard they want to cut payroll by up to 15 mil next season.

DK hear 15-26mm, but he's also been told the Pirates want to keep their core. If there's discussion about cutting payroll, they're not keeping their core.

I think it means they want to dump Harrison and Cervelli.

I don't think I mentioned this, but one of my buddies works on the norf side. You know how they usually have banners for all of the key players hanging up outside the park? Right now the banners feature two guys: Bell and Rivero. So if that is an indicator on how this offseason might play out, brace yourselves.
