Yep. This is hard.I miss Cutch
I mean, not to sound like a yinzer, but the man named his firstborn son Steel!

Amen, columbia.Back to talk of canning NH: he’s not the problem and never has been. He operates within his required parameters.
For the love of God, just sell the team, Mr. Nutting.
I remember Neil’s first round of sell offs, he picked up all these busted top prospects. I unfortunately see too much similarity to that in these two trades.MLB prospect expert weighs in on what the Pirates got in the Andrew McCutchen trade

Cervelli and Mercer aren’t going to bring anything back that’s worth trading for. I think you have to hold the former and hope he proves he’s healthy so that maybe he can moved midseasonStill need to move Harrison, Cervelli, and Mercer.
mercer will be traded at the deadline when newman (or tucker, if he has a breakout season, but that is unlikely) is ready.Cervelli and Mercer aren’t going to bring anything back that’s worth trading for. Andrelton Simmons type ceiling I'd say with more speed and a little less popHis bat is flaccid and will never work in majors anyway imo. hes a gr8 athlete and plus fielder tho
I’m not sure why anyone would want Mercer past his pre arbitration salarymercer will be traded at the deadline when newman (or tucker, if he has a breakout season, but that is unlikely) is ready.Cervelli and Mercer aren’t going to bring anything back that’s worth trading for. Pretty passive aggressive about it.he doesn't have to hope to get traded too hard
They are paying part of McCutchen's salary so you're probably right.Given the slow offseason, his boom or bust track record, and the Pirates obvious desire to dump salary I figured the best we’d get for him is a bullpen arm. Publicly stating he wants out probably reduces that return.
I’m sure Cervelli wants out as well but they would probably have to pay to make him go away.
I cant see how people are surprised or outraged that the pirates are unloading assets at a point in time when it is blatantly obvious they won't contend.I don't understand how fans can still be interested.

I spent plenty of time the past two years bemoaning the lack of action. At this point, with one year of cutch left and two years of cole left, it is fairly obvious this team wasn't going to contend. If the team isn't going to contend in 2018 or 2019, what is the point of keeping jhay around? What is the point of having cutch around?
