The funny thing is that at this point he is still the 5th out of 5 members of his family (father, mother, and both sisters) in terms of total sports accomplishments. :)

On the day of his 21st birthday, Korda out in the Round of 16 against Khachanov. 8:10 in the 5th set (which included 13 broken serves!).

No US man won a Grand Slam tournament since 2003(?).

Federer was just defeated in straight sets at Wimbledon. He also lost a set 6-0 for the first time.

I used to loathe Federer, as his rise ushered out of the limelight some of my favorite tennis players: Agassi, Sampras, and to a lesser extent, Andy Roddick. Now, I appreciate his longevity and he's one of a handful of tennis players I still recognize (with Djokovic and my current favorite player Nadal).

Federer: '03-'18 is where he won all his majors
Nadal: '05-'20
Djokovic: '08-Now

The 10 years of 08 to 18 might be the best 1, 2, 3 punch in Men's tennis ever. These are 3 potential GOATs all playing at the same time.

Imagine if Djokovic didn't exist. Nadal and Federer would have over 50 easily between the two of them.

Incredible still. It probably comes in waves but between those guys, Tiger, MJ, Sid, LeBron... We've had a pretty good run on GOATs*

*Hopefully Mikey doesn't see this because they aren't all the actual greatest of all time

I know this is a 2-year old clip, but I just found out BY FAR the most interesting tennis discussion I have ever seen (Lendl, Becker, McEnroe, Wilander talk for 40 minutes about old vs new tennis. Interestingly, they make some arguments for why Federer, Nadal, Djokovic may not be the best all-time players):

That kid is scary good. Looks like he's ready to take the Spanish mantle from Rafa

The sports world is not giving the proper attention to the history that is possible on Sunday. I've been watching football all day today and ESPN's promo for the Men's Championship barely glosses over the fact that Djokovic can do something that hasn't been done on the men's side since 1969 and only been done 3 times on the men's side. I know everyone will have their nose stuck up the ass of the NFL but this is as rare a sports feat as you're going to find. I'm not really that much of a tennis fan but the second screen will be on the match at 4:00.
