I certainly will, but it isn’t my first choice. TP has that powdery feel too it and I don’t enjoy that being around my face. I’m also a big snot rocket guy. You’re in the bathroom. Snot rocket it.

There was a time in college where my allergies were terrible and I'd forget to run to Rite Aid for Kleenex, so I kept a roll of TP handy to blow my nose.

When I was a child I felt that way...but at worst I feel the same as meow on this, generally...

For the second time today, I find myself standing with Team c2i. The only thing worse than blowing your nose into a handkerchief is blowing your nose into your unadorned hand. (Presuming that blowing your nose directly into someone else's mouth is off the table)

That said, I developed a bad habit as kid where I'd pinch my nose when I sneezed and sort of..... cough the sneeze? One of these days, I'm pretty sure my eardrums are going to fire ballistically straight out my head. pew

Handkerchiefs are for decorative and/or one time emergency use only.

I think everyone should carry a handkerchief, but they are for emergency use, such as drying up if you get caught in the rain, drying your hands if the towel dispenser is empty, eyeglass cleaning, emergency bandage for a cut, etc. Very useful, but not for blowing your nose.

This is separate from a pocket square worn in the breast pocket of a suit. Unless it's a dire emergency, those are purely decorative.

I was only 4 or 5 but I still carry memories of my father spitting into his snot rag and using it to wipe food from my face.

My mother spit onto a tissue and attempted to wipe something off my sisters face. My sister said “Not me want your spit”!!!

Will you blow your nose with toilet paper?

I was listening to a podcast on the subject of "disgust." It turns out a sizeable number of folks won't blow their nose with toilet paper because of the association with fecal matter.

I'm not one of these people, but am curious if they walk among us here at 5AF.

I will blow my nose with TP, but now that I am thinking about it, our TP stand is about two feet from our toilet and chances are better than not that there are microscopic fecal particles on it (thanks Mythbusters).

Only on the part of the roll that's exposed. I don't think it would be as bad as something like your toothbrush.
