I had some extra shelves that I put up for sale on a neighborhood social network. here was my listing:
buyer came to get them and is now complaining because she thought it was the entire shelving unit. IMO, my post (complete with pictures) was clear. thoughts?who needs 2 extra shelves? I bought these for a project but they ended up being too big for what I needed. I looked into returning them but it turned out to be a bigger hassle than I want to deal with right now. here's the link to the page:https://www.shelving.com/SI-18-Depth-Ch ... 1&CartID=0
these are 18"x30" and cost $23 each. I'm asking $20 for the pair. payment would be through PayPal or Venmo ONLY (sorry, no cash right now) that way we can have contactless pickup.

she already had them in her car. I wasn't taking them back after that. I think she was hoping I'd just say, "you know what? here's your $20 back. just keep them." didn't happen, mostly because I felt my listing was clear and I worked retail (photo labs) long enough to know that some people will do/say anything to get stuff for free.

Yeah, especially because this isn't a business where you have to worry about reputation or future sales...you're fine. That person that bought them is a thumb...keep their thumb money, they get their shelves, and they can find their own shelving unit for cheap...
