if your brother wants you to walk out what's the harm? it takes a village and it's good that your brother has one. my niece had Senior Night for marching band in the Fall and her good-for-nothing mother (my brother's ex-wife since my niece was 3) didn't even bother to show.My brother is playing his final home basketball game friday night for his highschool. It's senior night etc. I always thought that stuff was reserved for the parents. I.E my Dad and my Stepmom would walk out with him do all the picture stuff. My step mom informed me tonight that I am also walking out with them. I feel that's kind of lame and it should just be her and my dad, but maybe this is a normal thing?

No harm. I just feel like it's his night and it was always just the parents that walked out at these things. I honestly don't know if he requested me to go out or if my crazy stepmom just put my name down. It's not a big deal either way. I just didn't want to take away from a night that is supposed to be about him.if your brother wants you to walk out what's the harm? it takes a village and it's good that your brother has one. my niece had Senior Night for marching band in the Fall and her good-for-nothing mother (my brother's ex-wife since my niece was 3) didn't even bother to show.My brother is playing his final home basketball game friday night for his highschool. I don't think it matters at this point as my stepmom said I was put on the list walk out. I'm hoping she asked him first. I never really thought about even doing it as I thought it was just for parents to do. I'm sure my brother won't care either way, but I'll ask him if it was his idea or my stepmoms.Just ask him what he prefers.

Yeah. And if it's your stepmom's idea, couldn't you just not do it? Or if you get there and see it's all just parents, you could bow out.

At our school, siblings didn't actually do anything, just sat in the stands... parents walked with seniors.

At our local High School soccer senior night this year it was just parents.
Side note, as the announcer although I know you love your child dearly, when you do your write up for the announcer to read on senior night: 4 or 5 sentences. I had to do some two page reads some of which listed all their coaches back to rec league. Come on mom.

Surprisingly almost every family had a sibling go out with them on my brothers senior night for basketball. Guess it must be a normal thing now and I didn't look out of place.

Going number 2 in public restrooms. I got a buddy who refuses to do this. He won't even go at work - he's already planning to leave work early as his stomach is telling him it's about time to go. He says it's embarrassing that people could hear him. I say everybody poops and the absolute best time to do is when you're on the clock at work. Pay me to poop, please.
Thoughts? TMI?

I prefer my own commode, tbh.
I live 6 minutes away and have gone home to take care of business during the school year.
Mine is a privacy/cleanliness issue. Our college pays for a minimal level of cleaning, so our staff restrooms may only get cleaned 2-3 times a week with 20+ using them 16 hours a day.
During the summer, when the disgusting students are home, and our campus is pretty empty, I will drop a deuce at work.
