I need a ruling on this
I have a few work polos and I mostly wear them to work and when traveling for work.
They're not the best material and not very comfortable (they got them cheap... so that probably is why) so I don't wear them pretty much anywhere else. If it was a nice polo, I could see wearing it to the golf course, but it's not so I'll just wear my normal polos.
That's if I ever go to the golf course ever again.

If Mr. Garner hates the term "gifting" then I'll buy into his authority.
Edit: wow I'm late to the party on that one.

I do several trade shows and media events in the field. That’s where I wear mine. Personal life? Never.Got a free polo short from my employer yesterday. it doesn't fit well at all (shocker) but I was curious where I would even where this.
To work? A lot of people wear company polos to work I suppose.
To the golf course? Seems kind of tacky, no?
Anywhere else?

I'm thinking it doesn't fit because you're wearing it wrong.

A 90 cent credit showed up on my CC account. Not a charge - a payment. From Chewy. Nothing shows up on my account online - haven't ordered from them since November.
Do I call about this? Likelihood that this is fraud related?

I highly doubt fraud related is going to work in your favor.
If it was a $0.90 charge, I would say they are testing if you pay attention. Any reason you would have gotten some kind of credit from a past order?

Can't think of it. Like I said, I last ordered in Nov 2020, and I went back and looked at my orders, I don't see anything weird and I didn't get any sort of communication from them. I didn't know if it was a "we want to see how closely you look at things" kind of a deal.
I mean, I truly feel like an idiot calling for 90 cents, but if they have the wrong CC number tied to someone else's account, say - this could lead to potential headaches down the line.
Then again, I overthink everything.

You're clearly concerned, give them a call...

I would call for any charge that I didn't make, be it $90 or .90 cents. A $1 charge is likely a preauthorization charge where they test to make sure your card is good to go prior to actually charging the full amount. Call and see what's going on.

Look to see if Chewy has been involved in any sort of class-action litigation. It might be part of a settlement or something (although I think you'd have been notified of that if it were).

So, it turns out that it was a system screwup w/r/t sales tax - and that's how much I got overcharged due to the snafu, so they're refunding me. As is always the case, dealing with Chewy was expeditious and beyond pleasant.

Throwing your trash (soda can...dog poop bag) into someone else’s can that’s on the curb for pickup the next day.
This doesn’t feel right to me. But it’s a weird one.

I'd do it if trash hasn't been picked up yet. If it has, you're basically forcing somebody to store dog **** for a week.

We may have discussed this one before. It seems ok, but I don’t do it. If pick up is the next day, I walk my dog poop bag back to my house and put it in my own can.
I don’t think I would mind if someone put something in my can though.

At least your neighbors actually get it into the can.
At one point two weeks ago we probably had about 8 bags of dog **** lying on our sidewalk because people are incapable of hitting one of our three (house has 3 apartments) trashcans.

as a non dog owner, this irks me beyond belief. it without fail always happens when i have an empty can on my curb before i get home and someone dumps a dog turd in my garbage can. pick your **** up. don't use my trash cans. i don't put my kids diapers in your trash canWe may have discussed this one before. i don't do it because I imagine that lone bag of dog poo somehow ending up in the garbage man's grill because it is in the can unsecured.

Yeah. Empty can is a no go. Full can prior to pick up is iffy

Once the can is on the street for pick up, the contents sort of aren't even yours any longer. So fair play to that. If someone enters the curtilage of my home to put refuse into the cans when they're 10' off the sidewalk, then I'd gladly shoot them with a BB gun or something.

It's a repurposed 4th Amendment take. A paraphrase, really. It's not interesting.
