Visit for a bit on Christmas Eve.
Bingo.

Latrobe is an hour from Allison Park. We're not spending 4hrs in the car over two days to see the same people twice.

Yes, when it's time to make your own holiday traditions (i.e. you have kids) - that's when it's acceptable to skip the trip home for holidays.
Yes. Yes. Yes. A thousand times yes.

Normally, we do Christmas every year in Vegas with Mrs Tif's fam. But we'll be in Vietnam on X-mas day this year, so they are coming to visit us for Thanksgiving instead. We'll probably go to Vegas in March for Mrs Tif and FIL birthdays.

What is acceptable when it comes to taking home a used tubberware?
1. Finish eating, close lid, take home
2. Lightly rinse most of the left behind contents
3. Full on wash it to the point you could take it home and put it in the cupboard.

Not sure about that apparently cheap, off-brand 'tubberware' but IMO any of the above is acceptable for taking home used Tupperware.

4. Work for an organization, which subsidizes cheap lunches in the cafeteria, so you never have to take a lunch. I pay $4.75 for all you can eat.

I believe all can be considered acceptable in their own way...

For some reason, 1 makes me a little uncomfortable for no logic based reason...and 2 I don't find to be terribly efficient...but like I said, all fall within the realm of general acceptance...

I wash mine completely at work, because I don't want 6 hour-dried on food to deal with when I get home. I am the primary chef and dishwasher at home, so I'd rather break up the dishes, if possible.

My wife, on the other hand, does not feel the same way about dishes because she doesn't do a lot of dishes. I will get a 6 hour-dried on dish to wash out when she gets home.

In her defense, she has to walk to the cafeteria (three buildings away) to heat the food up and bring it back to her office, where the only sink is a girls room outside her office...so she could wash her dishes with elementary aged girls watching nearby.

I am the dishwasher/dishwasher loader at home. I bring mine home in #2 condition, and wash from there. My wife brings them home in #2 condition about 50% of the time and that's fine by me. I take care of her tupperware. The other 50% of the time she does #1, and I leave it. I won't touch it. It's her responsibility from there.

The first Thanksgiving we celebrated at our house was bittersweet, but wonderful. Our daughter had just been born three weeks prior, and my wife and I just quietly cooked a nice dinner for the two of us with a small turkey, while our daughter slept the whole way through. I'll never forget it, because it was just a perfect day with our new family.

My MIL asked my wife if she could host Thanksgiving at her house next year...that's fine by me.

Coming into the office with your dress shirt untucked then tucking it in in a restroom.

nay, the minute you step on the property during business hours you are representing yourself and your company and you should reflect that.

I don’t know this individual, but I’d say he drives a car alone.

One of the happiest moments of my life was the day about ten years ago that I saw a cop had pulled over a gaggle of maybe a dozen cyclists and was ticketing them for running stop signs on The Esplanade in Redondo Beach. It was so flippin' beautiful.
