Strong earnings from MSFT. Hopefully that gets the SPY out of a rut.

I opened a Coinbase account in 2017 but never funded it. I opened it when I lived at a different address and had a different phone number. It's understandably difficult to get logged back in.

Sorry, I respond even more unfrequently now that I am on parental leave for the spring.

I could put digital currency on the same level as gold, since there is a somewhat limited supply. But it is similar to printed money in that there is more of an agreement that it is valued something than that you have something tangible. That is why I would only invest in the most used / famous currencies, knowing that I might miss out on emerging currencies.

I try to follow the value investor strategy somewhat, with a buy and hold forever strategy. However, I too often sell shares that I think have reached high values and buy ones that I think are cheaper.

Currently, I am a bit worried about the rising inflation and what it will do to the stock prices. I have tried to transition slightly towards telecom, banks and forest owning companies.

Tired of buying into stuff just to have it lose its ass the next day. I've had a string of them the last couple months. I'm not losing anything because I normally just wait it out but positions that should be held for 3-5 days are taking weeks to clear. I'm on a slow boring treadmill to nowhere.

Everyone knows rates will go up
Jpow confirms rates will go up
Market tanks

I am guessing there was A LOT of money made this week with all the volatility and swings. Unfortunately I was not one of them

Last chance to squeeze out the retail traders...inflict max pain on calls, then rally.

It doesn't matter at the moment beyond just going "YIKES..." but my 401K fund went down over 15% in the last month.

yeah, i requested my termination check yesterday for my rollover into the new company plan.. Could have saved a bunch of money if I got that check a month ago and just held it. But, it's going into the same fund so I guess it'll basically be the same as if it was there the whole time.

Hmm...last time HYG rolled over like this, SPY launched to the moon (and then broke back to 50% of its recovery)...

So...short-term: HOORAY!
Medium term...*Dangerfield collar pull*

Short term calls. Then hard core puts. And then yacht shopping...

Has it been a year already? Those were good times for a while. Cut 2+ years off my retirement on that alone.
