$20,000 a year for 30 years?

The median income a 30 year old is $40,560, the average is $52,706; at 35 it's $50,000 and $66,320.

Ain't nobody got time for that...
I'm not the one suggesting they need to increase the limit for 401k contributions. 20k a year is unattainable for pretty most normal humans.

Then I suggest NTP go find some fun things to do in life, rather than stashing 20K per year in his 401K

Or - or - I could do both. These low limits and anyone who defends them can get ****.

Got a tip this morning and opened a small position in $MULN. Should have sold everything else and gone all in...

Sen. Mitt Romney suggests he'd back cutting retirement benefits for younger Americans
Ah, cool, probably fine since younger Americans don't really save for retirement anyway. Right?

Add this clown to the 'get ****' list.

Overall, I agree that 20k a year is fine and largely not a possibility for your average American. That said, this is just more boomer sh*t where they make things better for them and them only, f*ck anyone else that might come along later in the world.

$20k only applies to 401k/403b. The $6k IRA limit - which is lower based on your income - is worse.

At any rate, “it’s fine where it is because most can’t put that away” is just a lazy excuse to ignore the fact that these policies are still trash.

I was thinking of buying some US Treasury Series I Savings Bonds with the interest rate at 7.12 %. Seems like a pretty safe investment at a really good rate.

I purchased $5k worth last week. They seemed like a good spot to stash some cash.

Musk has to have a short position on Netflix. If so, he made a **** of money

It’s depressing how much influence he has
