The NASDAQ would have to reach a billion dollars for me to get my ARK money back.

Hit the account this morning.Let me know if that works for you. I did that in the past the last time they offered it, and was denied the bonus. I can't recall why, but I'm sure I complained about it in this thread, lol.Good timing as I just moved over money to take advantage of a $100 credit for "new" money for 90 days.@DigitalGypsy66: Marcus savings bumped to 3.50% APY

OK, my 17 year old wants to start up a Roth IRA. Damn TikTok lol. My wife and I have our separate, pre-marriage accounts through our employers. Where are some good places to get one of those started? We're also going to start up a Marcus account (under my name) for him as well. He's got to start salting some of this ice cream money away. $280 in cash tips in three shifts this week. My wife might try to pick up a few shifts this summer...

Admittedly a loaded question, but what does he plan to do with the money in the account? Throw it in a fund and Ron Popeil it? Vanguard for sure. Actively trade stocks and learn more in depth investing skills? I prefer Schwab or TD Ameritrade, which at some point this year (I think) will become one platform.

Just use VG and call it a day. You can buy and sell stock just fine with them, and have access to the best funds available.

I have to book about a $1000 flight and then 2 flights worth 600 within the next few weeks.
Is there a credit card I should open to take advantage of these eye watering amounts I'll be spending on flights

All you Marcus guys...
Is there a catch? Like are there transaction minimums, deposit requirements, balance minimums, etc? Or can I literally open an account and move my emergency fund from a .01% savings to a 4% one?

I now have a Marcus account as well, and there are no catches. The only aspect that might be close to a catch is that there's no ATM access for the account or checks you can write, so to get money back out you have to do transfers to another bank account you have, which can take a few days to go through.

The catch is that Goldman Sachs is losing an assload of money on Marcus so it may not be around in 12 months
Edit: to be clear, Goldman isn't going anywhere. But those fellas dont like losing money and that is precisely what is happening with Marcus. So they may pull the plug and close the retail operation
