The ARK Innovation exchange-traded fund has given up all its monster 153% gain from 2020 that turned manager Cathie Wood into one of the most celebrated investors in the country.

The ARK Innovation ETF (ticker: ARKK) had another poor day Thursday, falling 1.4% to $48.87 while the S&P 500 index rose 2.5%. The fund now is down 48.3% so far this year after a 23% drop in 2021, Bloomberg data show. The S&P 500 is off about 10% so far this year.
Get ****, Cathie.
I put a grand in at near peak, figuring it was house money. I bet, I lost. So be it.
I have around $2750 between ARKK and ARKG, so not a ton, but I'm still not happy about it. I'll probably be holding this bag of crap forever.

My 401K was down 5.7% in the first quarter this year....

I was curious about year over year and what COVID did. The only negative year I had was 2018. Thanks Trump.

2022 has been a huge bust. My overall portfolio is down 8.9% (from 12/31) as of today.

Yeah I think I'm down like 9% or so in my 401k so far this year.

My past 6 years have been: 8.8%, 22.4%, -8.9%, 31.1%, 18.4%, 27.9%

I think a little downswing can be tolerated. Haven't checked in a couple weeks but was down around 5% this year last time I checked.

Oh yeah. I shouldn't complain - especially after last year's absurd returns (#GME) - but still. Want to get back on track here.

I bought AMC at 8.49, sold it an hour later for 17. Used that money to buy $1,856.03 worth of ARKQ and ARKF, which is now worth a combined $931.30. She's a fraud and I'm an idiot and mikey is a hype machine. ARKF is down 65% and ARKQ is down 40%. I'm tempted to sell because who knows how long it'll take for this garbage to rebound.

I know that the second I sell, it'll skyrocket, and I'll have to actually hunt mikey down in person and rob him.

ARK is a long play. You can't lose. Unless you're a loser, of course...you're not losers are you...?

If you think that you had a rough day.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cnbc.c ... error.html

An employee of Citi Bank input an erroneous number and sold a lot of shares far below the market value before the order was placed. The Swedish and Norwegian stock indices went down 10 percent in minutes.

The transactions will not be reversed so Citi Bank lost a lot of money

The theory is that the employee mixed up Euros and Swedish Krona (the difference is a factor 10)

Yesterday's edition of the WSJ was gr8. Included an article about how some guys NFT of the first tweet ever was originally purchased for 2 million and was recently put up for auction. The highest bid was $14,000. There was also an article on how the semiconductor chip shortage is so much of a problem that there is now a shortage of chips for the machines that make the chips.

Aren't like 95% of NFT trades just the owners selling the ape to himself over and over?

God help the people that bought into that market and lost money.
