I feel bad for the people that jumped on and think it's this easy all the time. They're in for a hard reality when this is over.

My question isn't about volume, it is about the willingness of the broker dealers and the shorts to come to an agreement that this is situation is clearly not reflective of reality and therefore not a good business decision to force a bunch of shorts to close a position for 15 times the original price. Wall Street is a chummy place. I would think they would look out for the own at least a bit.
Chummy enough to waive the interest? The shorts are paying millions/hr to stay in the game, I can hold forever.
Cummy enough to waive the interest, even if the interest is based on this imaginary prices? Yes.

If they halt trading, that just means the shorters are paying even more interest. They only have one play left - call.

This is probably a once in a lifetime thing, for sure.

Yeah I have no illusion this is not a once in a lifetime thing at all. It's crazy, but hey... I got on the rocket to see where it takes me. I played with funny money that if I lose I don't really care about.

Buy Stop Limit Order
With a buy stop limit order, you can set a stop price above the current price of the stock. If the stock rises to your stop price, it triggers a buy limit order. Shares will only be purchased at your limit price or lower.

EXAMPLE
MEOW is currently trading at $5 per share. You want to wait to purchase MEOW because you think it’ll fall to a lower price. You also think that if MEOW reaches $8 it may go higher. To help minimize your potential costs, you set a stop price at $8. You also don’t want to pay more than $7.95 for MEOW, so you set a limit price at $7.95.

If MEOW rises to $8 or higher, your buy stop limit order becomes a buy limit order. Then, MEOW is purchased if shares are available at $7.95 or lower.
If MEOW stays below $8, a buy limit order isn’t triggered and no shares are purchased.
These examples are shown for illustrative purposes only. In general, understanding order types can help you manage risk and execution speed. However, you can never eliminate market and investment risks entirely. It’s usually best to choose an order type based on your investment goals and objectives.

I put a sell limit order in to protect myself if it dips, but I won't sell if it's still rocketing

Between AMC and GME I'm up almost 150$ pre-market ha. I know it's going to dip today but it's still fun to watch.

I used this site last night to get an idea of how much I would need to set aside.
